"Outstanding Hotel", will stay here again, no doubt

My wife and I travel plenty throughout the year and this has to be one of the BEST HOTELS we have EVER stayed on. From the beauty of the hotel inside to the included COMPLETE BUFFET BREAKFAST(different type of cereals local and foreign, different flavors of yogurt, omelette extasion to order, pancakes, french toast) to get you ready for a day of exploring in Cuzco. We had a King size bed on the second floor with a double door balcony above the main entrance of the hotel, well decorated and perfectly clean bathroom and we couldnt love it anymore. The front desk and the Waiters were STUPENDOUS!!! and you definetely have to order the Alpaca Pizza at the restaurant, is DELICIOUS!!!. We cannot recommend this hotel anymore than we just did, planning to take another trip to Cuzco with my inlaws in the future and this hotel is in my Favorite list for sure.

Great room for the money

We loved the location of the hotel--very convenient to the Plaza de Armas, Avenida del Sol. Breakfasts are very good. Our room was spacious and quiet, although the bathroom was tiny and a little cramped. Staff are all very pleasant and helpful. Most speak English well. After reading other reviews (pros and cons) prior to our stay, we were very pleased overall.

Good spot

We had stayed previously at Casa Andina and decided to not stay there when we returned to Cusco. this place was better. Good breakfast and efficient service. Walls were a little thin and it is no frills, but overall fine.

Good location and good staff.

We liked staying here. The location is walking distance to everything in Cusco. Like the other reviews have said, all room windows open to an interior courtyard in which the breakfast buffet is served. It was a little noisy but I didn't hear it until the time I useally wake up, about 8:30am, even though they started serving breakfast at 5am.

Good Hotel

Terra Andina is a nice hotel. It is within walking distance to all important sites. Staff is extremely nice and accomodating. They try very hard to please. I have witnessed the manager waive the penalty for 1 day delay arrival due to a train strike. Room is very clean but is rather basic. Overall I am very satisfied.

A great place!

Extremely accommodating staff, nice room. Rooms over interior courtyard: staff makes an effort to keep other visitors quiet so sleeping guests are not disturbed. Food is bland, but good. Book local tours through hotel, not at airport. They know the most reputable companies.

Good value for the money

This hotel is located about 10 mins from the main square in Cusco. The staff is very friendly, and most of the rooms are pretty big with king size beds. Be sure to specify you want a king bed if that is what you prefer. The breakfast each morning is a good deal, too. Just be aware that it is a bit of a walk to the main square (Plaza de Armas).

Beautiful hotel with a taste of home - but noisy

The Terra Andina was a beautiful hotel and was a nice change of pace from some of the more rustic accomodations that we had along our trip. The bathrooms were very clean and the hotel room in general had a taste of home that was much appreciated. When the bellman dropped us off in our room he said we had a quiet room which was definitely not true. Our room overlooked the restaurant downstairs and they catered dinner to tour groups until 11pm 2 out of the 4 nights we stayed which was very noisy and made it hard to sleep. That was our only complaint however. The breakfast was very tasty and nice to have as it was a bit of a walk to get to the plaza for other options.

Great value & central location

The Terra Andina is a great value. Centrally located just a five minute walk from the Plaza des Armas, the hotel is a convenient and comfortable choice in Cusco. The staff is very accommodating and friendly, and was able to arrange a last-minute tour of the Sacred Valley with an expert guide. The hotel was quiet and a nice respite from the bustle of Cusco. Rooms can be a little cold but heaters are available. Overall, a good choice.

Very noisy rooms

The hotel has a central atrium which is the restaurant/breakfast room. Most rooms have windows that face this atruim, and they are thin glass with no seals around the edges. Interior doors also have wide gaps around them. We were repeatedly woken up at 4:30 AM to clattering dishes as the breakfast buffet is being set up. Don't stay here if you are looking for a quiet room!
