Trip Type: Family Review 16 of 51Weirdest Hotel
The hotel is a converted building and had a weird layout and the cont. breakfast was in the basement. It wasn't the Ritz by any imagination but a great value for being only a couple minute drive to the Falls.

Trip Type: Family Review 17 of 51Little Expensive but OK Since it's very close to the Falls
Overall we enjoyed staying there. I feel the price was little bit more

Trip Type: Family Review 18 of 51Horrible Experience!!!!!!!!!
To whomsoever concerned ..... please think before you book this hotel.. The most stinking hotel I had ever been.... The most dirty carpet, the seats in the rooms had ugly stains... as soon as you enter the hallway, you will start suffocating.. such an unclean air.. The rooms were stinkier than the hallway.. Also the "Free Continental breakfast" did not meet any standards of the continental breakfast. Horrible ! Horrible!! I paid the same bucks as I would pay for any national chain..... The Hotel needs complete renovation. All the reviews say that the hotel is closest to Niagara Falls. There are better hotels that are more closer than Super 8. NOT SATISFIED>>>>>>>>>>>

Trip Type: Family Review 19 of 51bad cancellation policy
Due to an unforseen illness we were considering the cancellation of our trip. With over 2 weeks notice we contacted the hotel and was told we would get no refund at all. Then they proceeded to pressure us to cancel the room so they could book the room out to someone else. Even a partial refund would have been influential in the decision to cancel, but no refund at all, and then to try to collect twice seemed rude. We ended up keeping the room and not using it because we wouldn't get any money back either way.

Trip Type: Business Review 20 of 51Needs Improvement
Housekeeping was substandard. They didn't even bother to make my bed, just threw the comforter on it without fixing the rumpled sheets and blankets. Hair in the bathroom...not mine. I brought soap with and left in shower, they threw it out.

Even thou the price was good and we did not expect anything special, this hotel is in bad condition. Did not enjoy our stay, the restorant was not working and it's not that close to the park as they claim. Not very clean with missing shampoos, soap. Cheap hotel.

Trip Type: Family Review 22 of 51Nice staff, convenient location but little else...
The room had a musty odor when we arrived. Minor things in disrepair gave a bad initial impression. No extras like a small couch, which was suprising for a two Queen room. The hotel seemed as run down as the surrounding Niagara area. Continental breakfast was nothing more than boxed cereal and a muffin. In retrospect, I wished I stayed on the Canadian side. Poor value for the rate we paid.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 25 of 51Let's Play Hotel
The categories of tick off for survey of satisfaction do not capture the details of this facility that can lead to disappointment. All rooms are accessed by stairways, only the lobby is at walk in ground level. No elevator made it hard for some folks in our party with senior knees. The first floor rooms (below ground level)had a wheel chair access type lift, but it looked like the emergency exits from that floor required climbing a ladder to get back up to gound level. We had two rooms for two nights and one night (one room) the beds were not made up as we were out during the day. The pool is brand new and looks very clean and attractive, but it is very small. 6 people in it and it's crowded. The breakfast area is suitable to handle about 6-8 people simultaneously. With about 45 rooms in the hotel on a holiday weekend picture the lack of tables and chairs to sit even for 10 minutes for some corn flakes, muffins and coffee. The desk and room service were generally good and the owner is making a good effort at keeping the place clean, with an obvious pride in the business, but it is lacking capacity in the community facilities. Yes there is a pool, restaurant, free breakfast, but it is all barely advertising legal. Parking is almost sufficient. Location to the Falls attractions is ideal however. So go if you have good knees, you don't eat breakfast, its a weekday and not likely to be crowded and you are on a real budget.
