Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 51Would stay again
Honestly this is NOT a good neighborhood but like many other establishments in this area, it is treated with respect. I never once felt uncomfortable while there. I will be back.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 51Great inexpensive alternative
The hotel was clean, as was the room. A/C also worked really well! We were on the far side of the hotel form the water heater so it took about 2 minutes to get hot water-but nothing too crazy. The staff, however, was fantastic. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and upon being asked if we were visiting New Orleans for the first time, were given a city map. The woman at the desk proceeded to explain areas of the city and major attractions as well as parking rules, etc and public parking locations. Overall, we spent 2 nights for the price of 1 night at a low quality hotel in the city and all we had to do was drive 20 minutes--totally worth it!

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 5 of 51Katrina Update 2009
There still is alot of damage from Katrina in the area. Hotel was inexpensive, close to the city, the staff was great. Manager upgraded us for our 3 night stay to a nicer room location on property. Room was clean and quite.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 51Great Room for the Money
this hotel was clean and the workers were super nice. we had air conditoner issues and they switched our room out without any hassle. The only thing about this hotel is that the area it is in isnt the best area to be but other than that it was way beond my expecations. It was easy to find and again the service was awsome. i felt comfortable and appreciated. I would stay again if i needed to go back to New Orleans for anything.

I wasn't thrilled by the surrounding area or the parking in the hotel. It was ok for the price.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 51Memorial day
came driving from Miami , got to the Hotel pretty fast, just at exit 240 B , very easy to get, very near downtown New orleans atractions, its like a 5 to 7 min drive. Room was comfortable and clean , staff very polite and helpfull, you have a continental breakfast that is also very good, so for the price I think its a great deal, you cant go wrong. the only negatives I will say is that the rooms are a bit noisy when it comes to the time that the people are returning to their rooms, they hallways are facing each other not facing the outside so you can here the people talkingf and walking around sometimes. Apart of this had a great stay and would for sure come back or recomend the hotel.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 51Secure and friendly hotel
The sign is a little hard to see from the road, but the hotel itself is situated well. On the way from the French Quarter to the hotel, we saw a lot of Katrina damage still not fixed which was both eye-opening and heart-breaking. The hotel is on Chef highway and if you cross the bridge, there is food within walking distance. It was easy to get here and nice to be away from all the noise downtown and get a good night's sleep.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 11 of 51Great for Price, but thats about it.
If you are just trying to go to New Orleans and do not care about the hotel this is the place you need to stay. It is extremely cheap, but it still provides good service, and the rooms are not bad. The only problem with our room was that the matress was extremely hard, but we only stayed for two days so it didnt matter. We went during Mardi Gras and the rates were still low and it is about a ten min. drive from burbon st. which they have a shuttle that is 8 dollars each way. This hotel deffenitly was not disney world, but it was way better than your average motel. I would compare this location more to a Holiday Inn.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 51Needs Improvement
This motel is not in the best area of New Orleans. It is under reconstruction post Katrina. The desk hosts were not at all friendly or helpful. The room was just "alright". It wasn't anything special. Basic ammenties were provided (i.e. coffee pot, hair dryer, iron.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 15 of 51Ok place to stay for the money.
This was a nice little hotel fairly inexpensive, about 15 min from downtown. Not a great neighborhood, but not scary. the only problem we had was the first night we didn't turn on the air for a little white noise and we heard cars parking and people walking around all night. It was the new years weekend so we were realistic. As Dwight Shrute would say "these walls are paper thin." So the fan really helped. All in all a good stay for the economy.
