Trip Type: With Friends Review 16 of 51Not too bad
The hotel wasn't too bad. The staff was very friendly and I felt safe staying there. There is a great taco truck that parks in the lot next door that has amazing food. The quesadillas were to die for, and it was really nice to have this place downstairs. My one major complaint is with the noise levels in the hotel. The walls and doors are pretty thin and you can hear people in the hallways like they're standing on the end of your bed. Other than that it wasn't too bad. If you're looking at this review, you are most likely not going to be spending much time in your hotel anyways.

This motel is quite cheap and a little far out of town but a cab in isn't too expensive.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 19 of 51Needs Improvement
The hotel was very convenent to the interstate, but the parking was very limited and had very small spaces for your car. The room was clean, but the air conditioner did not work and was noisy. The neighborhood was post Katrina and did not look like much had been done to improve it. But, if you are looking for a cheap place just to sleep, it is O.K.

I will never book with Super 8 again. They gave my room away and I'm still fighting the charges.

Trip Type: Business Review 22 of 51If you don't want to be in the middle of it all, try this one
We had an RV park on one side, and an interstate on the other. You don't get much of a view, I'm afraid. The interior decor of the motel makes up for it somewhat, somewhat New Orleans-y. It looked like it was a really nice hotel once. It's still a nice hotel, but getting a little long in the tooth. The air conditioning was loud, the bed was hard, and the grout around the bathtub fixtures was skimpy. Everything was clean, however; the attendants were prompt and courteous, the carpet was nice, and the water was hot.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 23 of 51Would stay again
The people at this hotel could not have been nicer and really went out of there way to make sure we had everything that we wanted. I do have to say that it was not in the safest part of town, but they had a lot of security and really kept an eye out for everyone. It was a short drive into the city and a cheap cab ride home. I would stay there agan!! Its a perfect place to sleep if you are planning on not spending a lot of time in your room and just want to party!!!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 24 of 51Affordable and surprisingly pleasant.
This hotel has been newly renovated since the storm. The location is bleak (surrounded by industrial sites and warehouses), but it is only about eight minutes on Hwy. 10 to get into downtown. The rooms were very clean, the free continental breakfast was just right, the staff was attentive and courteous, and the parking is free and under cover. I was surprised and impressed.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 25 of 51Great Staff!
This hotel is out of the way (& I guess not in the "best part" of town), but it its quiet & very resonable. The staff at the hotel were EXTREMELY helpful. We had a couple of problems of our own making & they went above & beyond to help us. The room was very neat & spacious (we had 5 people & we weren't crowded at all). Would definately recommend staying here.

Trip Type: Family Review 27 of 51Great room for the money
Rate was very reasonable, room was very nice & service was good. Needs a little more room for parking of large vehicles. Was a little concerned about the neighborhood as we pulled in but that soon faded.

Great location. The staff was helpful and really nice. Had a fridge and worth the money. It was off the beaten path so it was quiet. Only issue if you dont have a car there is only a dominos that will deliver to the hotel. Nothing else closer. Still delivery was quick and enough food to last. Would use again if had a rental car. Great Hotel

We loved the room and the swimming pool. We did not like the location. It was very far from our destination and there was only one place to eat.
