Rooms are nice

Rooms are good as per the price paid but breakfast is horrible.

a good little place to stay

hotel was nice and in a good location. you get your moneys worth. breakfast choices aren' the greatest, but it's better than nothing. if all you want is a room and aren't willing to spent hundreds of dollars... this is the place for you. was clean and comfortable. nothing special but still a good place to stay.

I guess

Well, you are staying at the Motel 8 so it's not a ritzy palace but it will suit your needs. If you need a cheap place to stay it's fine, but it smells and it wasn't very comfortable.

Halfway decent, lousy breakfast

It was small but clean, decent cable, good temperature and water pressure in the shower. No restaurant but the one in the hotel right next door wasn't bad. The only real deficiency was the breakfast room, which was pitiful; watered-down juice, kid's cereals, unappetizing pastries and so-so coffee, and that was it.

Perfect location

I've stayed here before it was to know surprise that it met my needs of being close the the stadium & restaurants (Seau's). It's always clean & quiet & that's all I needed.

Needs Improvement

AC control was freezing. We had to turn it off to warm up! Toilet was running throughout the night, even after jiggling the handle. Maid di not come to clean room until 4PM our second day there. We had already come back from our day activity

not worth it, many better hotels in area

Our 13 month old crawled on the floor for 10 minutes and his feet and hands were black. We choose this hotel over others in the area mainly because they offered breakfast. Breakfast was horrible. The juice machine listed orange, pineapple, apple and another juice, but the only thing that came out was sugary fruit punch, not drinkable. And the hotel just said it didn't work. There was no fruit, or if you don't run there at 7:30 it will be gone and they don't replenish it. And the two types of cereal that they offered were plain sugar. No decaf coffee or any type of tea. The "bakery" goods were just not good. Yes, this wasn't an expensive hotel, but they are not competitive with other hotels in the area. Plus it was really noisy. Whenever the fan of the bathroom came on in an adjacent room it was so noisy it would awaken everyone. And the rooms are not soundproof at all so you can hear everything. The personal air conditioning units are from 50 years ago with who knows what growing in them.

This place is scary. no other word for it. The first room smelled of nail polish remover so badly that we had to move rooms. It also had a broken AC vent, that looked like something from a horror movie. The 2nd room was better. The whole place looked like homeless shelter.

Excellent Stay - Loved the Hotel and would visit AGAIN!

Not usually a fan of Super8 but this little hotel was wonderful. Very close to Sea World. We were sad that they did not have a pool but maybe that is why it was cheaper. The TV was out of this world and the cleanliness was great. My only complaint which is not a huge deal is that some of the air conditioners leaked on the outside. This does not affect the room but ocassionally the walkway was wet and sometimes slippery. We would stay here again.

Super 8 Motel San Diego

Although the location was great the hotel was not at all worth it. The room had a order and was not very clean. I booked this room for two nights but only stayed one. I would recommend paying a little extra and stay at the Howard Johnson which I did on the second night,it is much nicer and in the same location.

Good room for the money!

Good location. No pool though and room is quite small. but for the price, it is a good deal if its a quick stay like I did. Only one ice machine and it was broken when I was there.
