Bed bugs

I was very disappointed in this hotel. It was dirty, so dirty that people had etched grafitti into the dark scum around the edge of the pool that was green and sickeningly warm. I found a bed bug in our room the second night. I showed it to the manager and said that I would not be staying the third night of my scheduled stay. I was still charged because of a "24 hour cancellation policy." I will not stay in hotels with bed bugs and I should not have been charged. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Very dirty and unfair.

Great Place at a Great Price

For a Super 8 (aka lower budget hotel) - the Super 8 in Pinetop was a great place for a great price. Our room, a King Suite, had a mini frig, microwave, coffee maker, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, free internet, love seat and table and chairs. There was also a free continental breakfast in the lobby. Our room looked like it had been "spruced up" in the recent past (new paint, etc.) The location of the hotel, in the pines of Pinetop, was great. My husband and I don't like to spend a lot on a hotel when we travel, because we're out all day hiking or sight seeing - we don't see the point in spending a lot for a place to sleep and shower. The one complaint is that the bed was hard - which is how every single hotel bed I've ever slept in has been - so that's life! We've driven by some Super 8's over the years that were in cruddy locations or looked run down, but not this Super 8. We searched the hotel address on Google Earth and got a street view so we had a good idea of what it looked like before we made our reservations (I recommend this step for all hotel reservations, by the way!) I would recommned this Super 8 to anyone.

Had a very pleasant stay. Convenient location to Softball tournament site. Clean and comfortable room.

Staff Needs Improvement

It is a good hotel for the money. The only thing is the front desk person was constantly on the phone and their seemed to be one housekeeper for the whole hotel. So you may be delayed in getting into your room. Other than that, the hotel is nice includes a spa, and pool. Breakfast is decent.

Excellent location

Room was clean and quiet and a good value for the money.

A little outdated

For the price I paid it was worth it. Only problem with the room was a broken hair dryer more like a electrail hazard. I called the staff and they said they would have maintenance look at it. The pool was clean but the water drinking fountain had dirt in it would not use it.
