Got My Money's Worth

I stayed there while attending a conference in south Abilene. Since I was just looking for a place to sleep, the low room rate made it worth my drive across town. An older property, it has exterior stairs, walkways, and room entry. NEARBY (half mile): Wal-Mart, Cracker Barrel, fast food, convenience stores. Don't expect too much...but it is great for "cheap sleep"--a good value!

Good room for the money

Room was fine for the money we spent.

Overall satisfied

Our room was clean and everything worked as you would expect, good water pressure, cleanliness, ice machines, etc. I had to request a room on the ground floor and they were glad to accomodate me. There was some variety at breakfast.

Great room for the money

Had a very leaky faucet in the lavatory but they sent a maintenance person the next day and he put a completely new faucet assembly on. We were upstairs and I really needed to be on ground floor but they were all taken. I never saw a place on the screen when I was booking that would let me say "need a ground floor".

Great for my friends under 21 who come visit me at ACU because minimum age is 18 to check in here. Great location and comfortable beds.

BATHROOM DISASTER

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS HOTEL WAS HORRIBLE. THIS HOTEL CHAIN NEEDS TO UPGRADE THEIR BATHROOMS. MY BATHROOM TOILET WAS CLOGGED AND THE FLOAT WAS STUCK OVERFLOWING THE TOILET WITH WATER. I HAD TO SHUT DOWN THE WATER SOURCE. THEIR RESPONSE WAS QUICK BUT THE HARM WAS DONE. THEY OFFERED TO MOVE US BUT I HAD ALREADY BACKED MY BAGS.

A Little Disapointed

The hotel is a little dated outside and needs a little repair, but at least it had nice clean and quiet rooms inside. The A/C was off when we arrived in summer time. The room was extremely hot (90-100 degrees) and it took hours to cool down on max A/C. It was hard to sleep until room was cooled down sufficiently. I thought the room was a littly pricey for the quality of stay in this small town. The next morning the so called free continental breakfast was already finished and being removed before 8:30 am and the owners were not intending to keep it open any longer and all I wanted was a glass of OJ which they did not want to get for me. So, I ended up checking out early and heading out to breakfast earlier than planned. A little disapointed overall with the stay, but at least it served the purpose of a nice clean room for the night.

Nice room

The exterior of the hotel needs some work but the rooms were great for the price. Comfortable bed and nice shower head (turned to different pressures). Would stay there again.

needs improvement

The hotel was average, but the pool was disgusting! After driving all day with my 5 children, I took 20 minutes with the net cleaning the crap out of the pool before I'd let them swim. The water was still murky and gross!
