Very old hotel

I stayed at the Sun N Sand for 2 days from August 15-17. I was expecting a nice hotel because of the star rating. However, much to my surprise this was very old and the lobby smelled. My room was very small and had a strong stench of the air freshener used that I had difficulty breathing. I asked for a different room and I was told that they were preparing a room at the moment and I told them to go easy on the air freshener. This other room was bigger and didb't have a strong air freshener smell. The public beach by the hotel is dirty and had litter lying all over. The lunch and the dinner buffet was very good and the wait staff were very courteous and helpful. As a msatter of fact all the hotel staff were very courteous and helpful. I understand that this was the first five star hotel in the area way back in the 60s, however this hotel needs rnovation and updating of its facilities.
