Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 7great room for your money
For my first stay ever in Miami, this was a pleasant experience for me and my sister. Ms. Lorraine (I believe that was her name) and her husband run the Suites At the Beach, and she was nothing but nice to us and accomodated us with whatever we needed and asked of her. I liked that these were privacy suites, meaning we were basically staying in an apartment that included: a huge bedroom with 2 twin beds (since it was just me and my sister), nice bathroom, nice living room with satellite tv provided (and the tv had an ipod station to hook up your ipod), a pretty dinette set (4 chairs and table), and a full-size, fully-equipped kitchen! We stayed on the second floor and it was just wonderful. I didnt care about having an oceanview hotel i just wanted to be no more than a block from the beach and thats what i got. Me and my sister only had to walk right across the street behind our hotel right onto the North Miami Beach. If you've ever stayed in timeshares before, this place is sort of like that, so me and my sister had a ball just walking up and down collins ave getting groceries, snacks, whatever we wanted to get to. Collins ave takes you all the way down towards south beach where all the nightspots are, as will atlantic ave. Bottom line for the price i got the suite for especially for 4 days' stay, i was nothing but thoroughly pleased, and i told ms. lorraine, anytime i come back down to miami, she knows where im gonna be staying. when i got home i told anybody that would listen about her hotel, and i strongly recommend it to anyone. If you dont like being bothered by housekeepers everyday (they come once or twice a week i believe), you like the freedom to go out and do whatever you want to do, if you'd rather cook or make your own food to have a nice picnic on the beach for the day right behind your hotel, explore the nightlife and easily walk the strips along the oceanfront, then you need to stay at Suites at the Beach, end of story!!! :):):)

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 7Terrible place
Terrible place. There is no sign for "Hotel." There is no front desk. You need to call a number pasted on the gate to be assigned a room. The key is left in unlocked room, and you suppose to leave the key in a unlocked room when you leave...this is a little 'condo-like' establishment converted to a cheap hostel-like place.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 7Needs Major Improvement
The kitchen has a microwave and full size stove but one of those mini fridges. Hard to stock anything. Building security is bad because there isn't a good lock on door. No deadbolt. It is so bare bones. They used the absolute minimum money to put the absolute minimun inside. Good luck getting anyone to respond to any requests for anything.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 7Bare Bones"
This place could be good if they would put in a little effort. I knew there was no manager on site, you call a number when you arrive. The first concern was their was no deadbolt lock and the lock on door was just a handle lock. I had 3 people and there was only 2 bath towels,no hand or wash cloths and no sheets for sofa bed. I called and it took almost 4 hours with constant calling for them to bring towels and sheets. The towels they brought were frayed and the comforter looked like they just grabbed it off someone's bed. They informed me they had no hand or wash cloths. The sheets in bedroom kept coming off the bed and although clean had a couple stains on them. There was no dresser or place to put anything and not enough hangers if you use closet. Bathroom didn't have even a toilet tank to put bathroom items or counter. The internet was sporadic at best. On the plus size the rooms are big and they allow pets.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 7 of 7Do NOT Stay Here Even If The Room Is FREE!!!!
This is one of the worst hotels ever!!! Not only is it nasty, it stinks, I mean literally has a bad odor in the rooms. You cannot check in after dark beacuse you can't locate the office. The customer service is non-existent and since you pay everything before you get there (trust me noone would stay if they hadn't given them any money yet), they know there's no loss to them if you leave. Save yourself some headache and disgust . . . avoid this place. It's dirt cheap for a reason!!
