Fun place with lots to do. Great food at Roxy's Diner. Great slots and table games. Excitement, but also relaxing, very laid back atmosphere.

I really liked staying at the Stratosphere. It wasn't too noisy and crowded. It was at the North End of the strip but it was great cause we walked down the strip and took the bus back so we didn't miss anything. The hotel offered a 50's like diner which was totally awesome because the waiter/waitresses sang. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is just wanting to get away and relax.

There is nothing really wrong with this hotel. But it just feels dead and empty, not the feeling I would imagine people go to Vegas for. The tower: The best thing about it, you get 4 passes per day to go up to the top of the tower (this was not some special from the website, it applied to all guests) which allows you to see all of the valley. I only went up in the day, but I bet it would have been really cool at night. The room: The room I got was a single queen on the 21st floor, and the room had only one tiny window, about 2 feet wide by 3.5 feet tall, that looked out onto the freeway. (I had paid for the high room level, definitely not worth it) The room felt really small because there was a dividing wall separating the bed from the rest of the room. Which made the place even darker. I guess it worked to make you not want to be in your room. Also, the building only has one pool, and it was surprisingly far away from my room, (5-10 mins from room to pool) one of the problems of a mega hotel i guess. But at that size, maybe they should have had 2 pools. Oh, and you cant bring drinks, you have to buy things there, so if your a family with kids you better think about sneaking them, or its going to get expensive. Location: I knew when I booked it that it was a ways from the strip. I took a taxi from here to the paris where a friend was, and it was 13 bucks, not bad, but both ways thats 30 bucks more I could have spent on a more central room. Also you can take the monorail, but it ends at the Sahara, and its maybe a 10-15 min walk from there to the hotel, wasent bad, but it was a dark desolate road at 3am, so be comfortable.

Great for the money, make sure to ride the rides at the top of the tower, what a view.

I was led to believe that the Stratosphere was on the Strip. Well it isnt exactly there. It is on Las Vegas Blvd but about a ten minute drive from all the action. And it is on the far end of the strip and not in the prettiest neighborhood. Price is cheap but you get what you pay for.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 1108Exceptional customer service on a budget
I was disappointed at the room/furniture upon entering as it was not as nice as on picture. The decor was very cheap Motel 6ish, with paisley colors, probably popular eight generations ago. What made up for the poor decoration and size of the room was the exceptional customer service. Every single staff person we dealt with were very pleasant and accomodating. If they had changed the room layout and decor to maximize space and appear more pleasing to the eye, the hotel would boost it's star rating significantly.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 1108Great Comfort for a low price
Had stayed for 2 nights but really enjoyed the environment and the comfort level in this hotel. A small discomfort is that the hotel is bit far from the main events of the strip and you need to take a bus or cab. Also, the weather was bit windy on these 2 days and hence we had a lot of trouble enjoying the strip travel.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 14 of 1108Too long waiting in line to check in
I read 3 chapters of my book in the 1 hour 15 minutes I was standing in line to check in. Apart from that a very good hotel. Woul very highly recommend the top of the world restaurant and their 6/7 course tasting menu with wine, expensive but by far the best food I sampled on my 7 week trip to the united states. Perhaps I would recommend arriving late evening or early morning to avoid the queue's. Conclusion: 9.99/10

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 1108EXCELLENT ROOM FOR THE PRICE I PAID
I just came back from my trip to vegas and the hotel was WONDERFUL..i have only stayed at 5 stars and a few 4 star hotel so to stay at a 3 star hotel i was a bit scared. but hte room was excellent. modern looking. the hotel staff upgraded me to a bigger room. and i was on the top floor of the hotel with a beautiful view. i def would stay there again! the only concern is that if you are flying out to vegas its REALLY far from other hotels. so stay there if you got a car
