    The resort property is spectacular, with two great golf courses and a very fine fitness facility. The setting is quite lovely. The pool and the guest rooms are dated. The lack of air conditioning in the rooms (and the windows do not open more than 6 inches) made it very uncomfortable to fall asleep. The staff is very attentive and quite efficient. The several restaurants and bars provided excellent food and service.

The St Pierre, A Marriott Hotel & Country Club, is a 14th- century manor house set in 400 acres of grounds in the rolling hills of South Wales, three kilometres from Chepstow Racecourse and 27 kilometres from Bristol. This three-floor hotel features 148 guestrooms with modern decor, wooden furnishings and light fabrics; some rooms also feature lake or golf course views. Amenities include satellite television with pay movies, tea and coffee making facilities, desks and trouser presses. Bathrooms have hair dryers.
