Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 197Weekend Stay OK...great for fishers
The hotel was ok. Not the type of hotel I would prefer. But was there for a special event and it was the host hotel. The price was great.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 197Poor parking facilities, outdated microwave, indoor pool with no lights.
For the price, it was OK. We had a lot of difficulty finding a place to park. The microwave was old and very small. The dining facility was over priced for breakfast buffet. Had two children with me and did not want to pay $9.00 each for what they would eat. Went to McDonalds for 25% of the cost.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 5 of 197Outstanding Hotel
Our hotel stay was great. The rooms were clean, the pool areas were clean, and the employees were very nice. The rooms had a perfect view of the beach, and the complimentary access to the pier was a plus.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 197Needs some improvements
It was a nice hotel, but had trouble with keeping the sheets on the bed. The room was alittle small, but worked for a 3 night stay.

The toilet would not stop running, which made it hard to sleep. The air conditioner was very dirty and had black patches growing on it. The drawer in the kitchen area was broken. There was feces in the toilet when we first arrived. It has a great location and nice beach, but it was too dirty in the room for me to enjoy my stay. They need to update their rooms and give them a good cleaning

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 197Good stay
the hotel is good overall (see the ranking), especially the location, we stayed on 5th floor the first night, we all love the view from our deck. but second night we moved to 1st floor, the view became only the swimming pool and several palm trees. But we had to move because the toilet doesn't flash anymore, Water came out (yuk..), without second night's experience, I will give it 5 star.

Not a bad place to stay for the money. You get what you pay for. The view is worth the price.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 197Very Disappointed
A colleague of mine and I stayed at the Springmaid for one night for a business trip. We checked into the hotel at around 9pm. The grounds of the hotel are relatively large, so the check in desk was in a building across the street and down the road from our room. After we checked in, we threw our things on our bed, and went out to see some of the local sights. We returned to our room around midnight, and went out on the balcony to chat. Around 1am, we began preparing for bed. My colleague used the toiletry area first, so by the time it was my turn, it was about 1:20. I finished washing up, but when I went to get into my bed it was SOAKING wet! We called down to the front desk and the person that answered the phone said that they would switch our rooms, but that we would have to come and get the room key because "it was just him and the security guards". My colleague and I are both females under the age of 28 and were already in our pajamas. The fact that they would ask us to walk down the road in the middle of the night to pick up a new room key because their establishment had messed up was ludicrous. We informed the man that they would just have to send up a security guard with a new key because we were not walking out there. The next morning when we asked to speak to a manager, we were turned down. The girl at the front desk informed us that there had been a leak in the unit directly above us but that it hadn't occured to them that the leak would effect our unit. We were told a manager would call us at a later time. That never happened. No one called us, we weren't given a partial credit for the huge inconvenience, nothing. I have never been so disappointed in a hotel experience in my life and I will never again give them my business.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 197Excellent Deal!
This hotel is really nice, on the beach, pool, close to everything on the main strip, and it has it's own pier with fishing, gift shop, and place to eat. We loved the beach, and plan on going back.
