Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 4Great Location
This hotel is located adjacent to the main plaza in town, the Plaza de Armes. Two of the major churches are right around the corner as well as an alleyway with a great example of Inca stone work. La Meson is a restaurant located next to the plaza with excellent food at a reasonable price. There is a grocery store next to the hotel also. Staff was very friendly and took great pains to remember our names.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 4Very bad experience
We had a very bad experience with this hotel. After being greeted at the door by an armed guard, we were given a room right next to the front desk. We could hear every phone call, every conversation, every noise in the lobby, and it went on all night. Racks of bread were stacked outside our door. The room had no deadbolt; the only lock was a simple "push the button" type of lock. As two women traveling alone, we were afraid for our safety. The room smelled bad and the carpet had stains. After I checked in, I immediately went to the front desk and cancelled for the next night. We didn't feel safe there. The hotel refused to credit me for the second night, even though I cancelled 24 hours in advance and even though we had very legitimate reasons to cancel. I spent hours on the phone with hotels.com trying to get a credit for the second night, and the hotel chain refused.

Excelent hotel. Great location in the heart of Cuzco, located seconds away from restaurants and shops. Great atmosphere and the perfect hotel for a getaway or romantic excursion. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
