Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 28Awesome Hotel
The hotel was perfect. The room/rooms were more than we expected. The Kitchen was fully stocked except for food so our week long stay was made that much more comfortable. The beds and pillows were so comfortable we slept in late one morning just to really enjoy them. The pool area was so nice and relaxing. The hotel is located in the perfect spot, central to so many restaurants and shops and well the rest of San Diego.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 2 of 28It's in Hillcrest
The room was better than I had expected. Clean comfortable and spacious. The inroom safe will not hold a laptop computer (maybe an 8 inch). Perhaps it's the norm, but I felt like it was a gouge to charge for the parking, and on the third day when I departed my car was marred by the many a/c units that had dripped rust and gunk upon it but that was probably just that one spot and now I know to look up when parking. Bottom line, I'd stay there again.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 28Will be back!!
I loved the location and the staff were all very helpful. My suite was very clean well appointed 1 bedroom that had everything I needed. It will be my home away from home whenever staying in San Diego. The only little gripe I had was the parking. I had to pay $6/day and there was no place for guests to park unless they don't mind walking a few blocks.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 7 of 28Too loud to sleep
My husband, baby, dog, and I needed to comfortable suite for 4 nights before moving across the country, the first two nights Sommerset met our expectations. The following two nights were sleepless. On the first night, after politely reporting the noise, it got much worse. The following morning I voiced our concerns with the front desk where we were given the option to move rooms - are you kidding me? Why should we have to move all of our items (an abundance of items due to our situation). Furthermore, could the conduct of our fellow guests be unacceptable, again? Yet again,at 11:30 p.m. I walked to front desk with a noise complaint (mind you, we had to be at the airport at 4:30 a.m.). The clerk told me the guests had just called for a cab so we should expect peace and quiet for a few hours. We did, in fact, get 3 hours of sleep when a rowdy guest pulled the fire alarm. At 2:30 a.m. guests rushed outside expecting a fire. Needless to say, my husband, the baby, dog, and I got minimal sleep. Shame on you Sommerset Suites. Unruly conduct should be handled so others do not suffer.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 9 of 28Nice stay
The Hotel was conveniently located for us. The staff was polite and helpful. Parking, which is pretty non extant around there, was available for a reasonable sum. Nice Continental breakfast.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 28I really like this hotel
I stay at Sommerset whenever I visit San Diego, both for work and pleasure. It's easy to get to, within walking distance to shops and restaurants. And within a short driving distance to the San Diego Zoo and Sea World. I would recommend this hoteal.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 14 of 28"nice and cozy but no spanish channels"
This is our second visit we really like the size and the cozy feel of the room. Balcony with view to the pool is great! It looks more like a condo than it does a hotel because of the space and the comfort, great for families with children. They provide continental breakfast (waffles are delicious). The location is great near shops , restaurants, and freeways. Bad thing is that there is a medical facility across the street another to the left and another to the right so sirens are heard often. They also charge five dollars for parking which was new to me. Oh well! Ok now, can someone explain to me why all the spanish channels were removed? I missed all my spanish soaps not nice!!!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 15 of 28very comfortable hotel with great location and friendly staff
great location to the Hillcrest neighborhood. Very friendly and helpful staff. Price was on the high end that week but the comfort made up for it.
