Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 96Pleasantly Surprised
After reading a few negative reviews online, we were a bit hesitant to stay here. No worries. Our room was impeccably clean and stylish. I am still dreaming about our sumptuous bed and bedding. The location is great and the staff could not have been friendlier.

It was not as fabulous as the site would have you think, however it was nice and I would stay again because of the location and neighborhood.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 96Nice hotel in great location
We enjoyed our stay very much. SoHo is a great place to eat, visit galleries, and shop. I felt that the hotel hallways had a stale odor--not unpleasant, but stale. Perhaps some Fabreeze or carpet deodorizer would have helped. The lobby area and hallways were dimly lit--ambiance??? A little more light wouldn't have hurt. The bar was nice and great for people watching, however we were dissatisfied with the outdoor bar. There weren't any tables in the bar area and the host suggested the outdoor one. We were disappointed when the host of the outdoor bar told us that it was "closed for a private party," only to find that the indoor bar host told us that wasn't the case. "Sometimes they say that if they sense people aren't hotel guests," was what the indoor host told us when we returned. The outdoor host never asked, nor did we think that we needed to have mentioned it. All ended up being fine because a table opened up at the indoor bar when we had returned there. There should be better communication amongst the staff, or a way that they could communicate without guests having to go up/down and in/out of the hotel to get a drink.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 96Very Satisfied
Pros: location - Soho area, bar, clientele - people watching.., room very comfortable particularly bed. Cons: corridors could do with a freshen up, pretty small room (but it is NY), was there on biz would not recommend for families. TV reception not good. Overall service was excellent, room very comfortable and in a good area. Price not too bad either (may have got a special though considering financial conditions). I recommend it.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 96Average
Very nice on the face (from street, lobby, bar, etc.), but lacking in room size, decor and comfort (bed). Plus, the linens smelled a little like a smoker used them. I ordered a chicken pot pie from room service which was the worst I've ever had. The service was exceptional though. The person that checked me in knew my name the next day on site and the bellhop knew what office building I was going to based on the address alone (less common building). The common areas were very swank. Good location for seeing Soho, Little Italy and China town.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 15 of 96Good hotel in the best neighborhood
This hotel is exactly what you would expect it to be: hip, funky, tasteful and fun. It happens to be located at my favorite intersection in all of NYC with Felix, Lucky Strike, and Toad Hall all right there. This is a very fun part of town. The only knock on the place was the bar, where the waitresses were very rude and aloof, and the drinks were overpriced, even by NYC standards.
