The Sky hotel is supposed to be one of the best hotels in Aspen. The rooms are very small and dingy: not what you expect for a hotel this caliber. The lobby is very small and noisy and the pool area is very close to many rooms so you hear a lot of noise. The walls are also very thin. They try to make up for the rooms by having an "honor bar" and lame bedding with faux fur throws and very uncomfortable bathrobes. The room layout is similar to a Motel 6 with rooms on the outside. Some rooms you can only access by walking thru the pool area, getting soaked along the way. There was trash in the hallways that never got cleaned. Everything about this hotel is pretentious and overpriced. Customer service is non existent since the hotel is staffed with college stoner ski bums who could care less about your stay. Don't waste your money! Also construction is happening right across the street which makes the noise unbearable at times. If you are splurging to stay in Aspen anyway, just stay at the Nell or Hotel Jerome and avoid this pit. What a waste!

Impression- a hotel for socializers. 6. Decor- similiar to an Austin Powers movie, exceedingly modern but very dated modern 7. Room amenities very complete, great sheets- Frette 8. They tried hard but it just isn't up to tasteful decor 9. Great location at base of the mountain, lifts visible from room, great shopping within walking distance
