Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 1 of 6Great Location
We had a delightful night at the Christopher Wren Hotel in Windsor! Bed was great, room was quiet and the management was helpful. We arrived at Heathrow and caught a taxi to Windsor and were gouged by the driver. If you plan to do this, call the hotel and they will send a taxi for you for 20 pounds, instead of the 60 pounds we were charged by the cabbie. Our delightful English breakfast was beyond our expections. We watched the geese and swans on the Thames while we enjoyed breakfast. It was so peaceful, especially after the Ukraine River Cruise. How can you not enjoy England? Can hardly wait to come again.

From the minute we checked in it was clear the staff are miserable and are going through the motions. Check in was unfriendly.. but painted a picture of how we were treated during our thankfully short stay. I won't be staying again.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 6Not worth the value
I stayed in a single room on a business trip and was astounded at the cost of the room compared to quality. The room was very small (which I expected), but it was also very poorly lit. It was also not very well insulated for noise. I could hear the people in the rooms next to me talking and even walking around on the squeaky floors. Pigeons roosting just outside my drafty windows made a lot of noise in the morning too. The carpet was in dire need of replacement (I was afraid to walk barefoot) as was the comforter on the bed. The water in the shower did not get very warm and the shower would not drain properly. This room was actually worse than many hostels I stayed at during my youth.

Old world charm with exceptional location, two train stations within walking distance and only 17 miles from LHR. Many local attractions and resturants.

Wonderful location on the river in the center of Windsor. Some rooms are tired and need renovation others seemed fine. Daytime staff was very chearful and accomodating. Nighttime staff a little rigid but did get room service late on the patio.
