Trip Type: Special Event Review 20 of 273Great room, great service, lots of extras
We booked a Deluxe Water Room King room through Hotels.com, and were extremely satisfied. We were greeted by the friendliest staff we've encountered in our travels, and were very happy with our room on the 4th floor. Great views of Lake Union (although we would have appreciated a larger window), a large, modern room, and many "extras" that other hotels would have charged an arm and a leg for. The room had a gigantic flat-screen TV, a comfortable couch, 2 sinks, a fridge and microwave, and was clean and tastefully furnished. Free parking, 24 hr pool and fitness center, and a small 24 hr gift shop with snacks and beverages. Aveda products throughout the bathroom. A very comprehensive free breakfast: hard boiled eggs, cheese, bagels, pastries, juice and coffee, belgian waffles, cereal, yogurt, and more. The hotel is conveniently located, and although we didn't take advantage of it, the free shuttle could be a real convenience. All in all, we were very satisfied, and would highly recommend this hotel to other Seattle-bound travelers. We will certainly stay there again in the future.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 22 of 273Great room with view!
Good value for Seattle... MBR & LR with lake views & plasma TV's from both rooms. No onsite restaurant at any Silver Clouds (I've only stayed at 2) but continental breakfast in the AM and plenty nearby.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 23 of 273terrific location
the hotel itself was very clean and the staff were very attentive.the breakfast buffet was great, good food and very convenient. the biggest draw for me and my out of town guests was the proximity to downtown seattle. you can catch the south lake union trolly a block down from the hotel and ride it in to westlake center. from there, you can pretty much go everywhere! This was a very good hotel for tourists and locals.

Trip Type: Family Review 24 of 273Impressed
Since this was my first visit to Seattle with my family, I wanted a hotel that was close to downtown, but far away from the traffic and noise. The shuttle service was so covenient that we didn't have to rent a car. Also a plus to the hotel was the fact that they had breakfast which was included in the price which I felt was an extra bonus. The staff was very friendly. Also another added plus was the hours for the pool and the work-out room, pretty much you can come and go as you please, so it nice to take advantage of that as well. I honestly wish that we stayed here our entire trip, but unfortunately it wasn't available for the remaining visit at the price we secured a couple of months back. Which brings me to the other hotel we stayed at, which I can honestly say only one positive thing about that place was the young lady who shuttle us around was extremely friendly, but the ladies that worked the breakfast area was extremely rude and pretty much accused us of overeating on something that was included in their hotel package. They made rude comments and whispered something to the front desk, as she was standing only a couple of feet away. I won't mention the Courtyard Marriott by the airport, next to the mall. The only suggustion that I would make for improvements of the hotel is it would have been nice to have a restaurant in the hotel, especially for room service. But other than that, We had a wonderful stay and I would stay there again. Oh an by the way they have free self service washer and dryer

Trip Type: Family Review 26 of 273Thank goodness for the hotel shuttle!
My family have stayed at the Lake Union for several years, we come down from Canada to watch the Mariner's. We've tried to request the two rooms that have a balcony on the 3rd floor, just north of the breakfast room and they're great in the summer time.....but overall we love staying there, and the shuttle takes us to the games every year and picks us up too, that's a huge plus!

Trip Type: Family Review 30 of 273It's All Good
This was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Even the stairways were immaculate. Breakfast was very good but the dining area gets crowded on the weekends. Parking was free. There's a second level that had more available spaces. If you don't have a car, you can use the hotel shuttle to get to the Space Needle, Pike Place or Pioneer Park. You can easily get downtown using public transit. You can walk to some restaurants and even take a cruise from the pier at the other side of the lake. The neighborhood is relatively quiet and safe. The staff was courteous and let us check in early. Go for the waterside view. It's worth the extra $$. Overall, everything was as advertised and well worth the price. You will not be disappointed
