Trip Type: Not Provided Review 1 of 39Great for the money
Hotel is in a centralized location, good to reserve through a US site, bc of the euro-dollar conversion. very centrally located, see about getting a room off the main street, it can get a bit loud.

The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. They all spoke English and made every effort to meet our needs.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 39Great location, room more than sufficient
The hotel is in a great location, just off the Rambla, by the metro, convenient to everything. Roof pool a big plus in the heat of Barcelona. The rooms need to be spruced up somewhat, but bathroom has good room and excellent shower. The major detractor is that the room walls are very thin -- we could hear the guy in the next room snoring! Also, the set-up of our room made it difficult to get into the closet because of the closeness of the bed. However, closet drawer space quite good. Overall, we would definitely stay there again.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 39Good option
This a nice hotel, particularly for the price and location (just off the Rambla). The service generally was good, though no concierge service. The pool on room is nice. The facility is a bit faded but very clean. I also stayed at European Gran Marina for work and moved up to the Silken when I stayed with my spouse for the weekend. The Gran Marina is a very nice hotel that I would highly recommend for business. Its a bit farther away at the harbor but another good option though a lot more money. The Rambla is really crowded with tourists. For a quieter area, Las Gracias is a nice option (more upscale and closer to Gaudi buildings). If you do stay at Silken, there is a great tapas bar just outside the hotel called Miranda. Also The Terrace across the Rambla from Pintor Fourtnoy has a great roof terrace overlooking Rambla.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 39Great location - nice hotel
It was quiet and comfortable. The staff was wonderful and the rooms were clean. Beds were great - very big and the room was rather large. The bathroom was a little musty and it wasn't exactly 5 star, but we enjoyed our stay

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 11 of 39For Smokers
Our confirmed reservation was for two non-smoking rooms. We got two smoking rooms and the odor was very bad. One of the two rooms was changed to a non-smoking room, but there were no more non-smoking rooms available. Not happy about that.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 39great value
Located in the heart of the action on the Ramblas (draw back to that is that there is a considrable amount of noise) but never the less, this hotel is a great value for the money. Clean well maintained with a friendly knowledgble staff.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 39Outstanding hotel
From the rooftop swimming pool to the elegant and intimate lobby with a waterfall fountain, the comfy beds to the quiet, well-appointed room, this hotel couldn't have been better. Friendly, competent service, great central location; a haven in the midst of this busy and wildly energetic city!
