Shinjuku Washington Hotel

Great location, small rooms

Japan may be notorious for less than spacious rooms in even the most extravagant of hotels, but in my experience I had always considered that a bit exaggerated until I stayed at the Shinjuku Washington. The location was great, only a short stumble back from some of the best shopping, eats and karaoke in the city after a late night out, but when you can literally fall into bed from where you open the door to your room, you start thinking to yourself that you could use just a LITTLE more room than this. Luckily, we spent very little time in our rooms in any case, so purely as a place to recharge for the next day's outing the Shinjuku Washington was a satisfying experience.

Near Jr station and nice location

Great hotel, near Jr station 10 minutes walk. Great price and Great service... recommended.

Great Location

About a 10 minute walk from Shinjuku Station. There is also an underground passageway from the Station that leads directly into the Hotel.

Great Hotel and Location

I really enjoyed this hotel as it was clean and had a great location. The rooms are small but it is Tokyo after all and my husband and myself both had more than enough room for the two of us. The convenient location of the subway made this the perfect location.

convenient location to Shinjuku station

10 minutes walking distance to the Shinjuku Station, easy access to JR, Odakyu, and Metro.

Nothing great BUT very convenient & priced right.

Stayed here once before - its not fancy but very convenient location and the price is always good. Airport Limousine from Narita drops off and picks up this location. Theres also a 24hr convenient store on the main floor.

Washington Hotel is a good value.

Overall very good for my 3 night stay. If you are staying longer, you may want a larger room. The Fujita restaurant served both Japanese and western breakfast. The Airport Limousine Bus can take you to and from Narita and Haneda Airports. About a 10 minute walk from Shinjuku station. If you do not want to walk, you can ride the 100yen bus from the front of Keio Department Store to and from the hotel. Clean but small rooms. But small rooms are the norm in hotels all over Japan. Nice Hotel

I have stayed in many hotels all over Japan. Washington is a good value. If you are not too picky about the size of the room, it's fine. The airport limousine bus can take you directly to and from Narita or Haneda airports. About a 10 minute walk from Shinjuku Station. If you do not wish to walk to the station, there is a 100yen bus which stops right in front of the hotel, it runs every 10 minutes. The hotel breakfast serves both Japanese and western food. The 24 hour self laundry service is convenient. If you want a fancy 5 star hotel, this is not the place. But if you need a place to sleep for a decent price, it is perfect. SAYONARA!!!

Great Price

Great price and excellent location. Size of rooms are small but adequate for what you are paying and the location is phenomenal. Would recommend to those on a budget. Staff was kind and helpful. Rooms kept superbly clean.

Shinjuku Washington hotel excellent service

It is clean and well organized. The service is excellent. It is located midtown and accessible to the train and subway service. The restaurant service needs some fine tuning but they provide and variety of breakfast foods for the morning buffet.

DO NOT STAY HERE IN SHINJUKU IF YOU PLAN A LEISURE TRIP, ROOM IS CRAMP AND NOT AS MODERN, BEST COMPARE TO HOLIDAY INNS/BEST WESTERN IN THE US
