Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 170Exceeded my expectations
This was my first time to use www.hotels.com and I am quite impressed. This perhaps is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed (and I mostly stay in 5 star hotels). Wonderful suites, beautiful view, furniture, everything. The only thing which I thought was outragerously expensive was parking, but even that I could deal with. Thank you. Sofia

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 170Comfortable room
The only thing I did not like about the room was the bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows were nothing. The service at the hotel was well above the grade and the staff were friendly. I would take a chance and stay here again in hopes of a better bed!!!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 170Great
Pleasantly surprised that the room had a sitting area separated from the beds by double-doors. This made the room much more user-friendly in that one of us could work while the other slept.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 170Not that good for the money
Few things about this hotel to know 1. Pillows are very soft, flimsy and uncomfortable. 2. I dont remember reading about a $22 parking charge for self parking!! 3. The parking garage is a joke, with extremely narrow parking spots-- really tests your driving skills. 4. Rooms were too small. We booked a 2 Queen bed Suite. The TV's were in a very awkward position-- no one can watch TV sitting comfortably as a result (Not that you want to watch TV when in San Diego)

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 170OK except we didnt get what we booked
I specifically stayed at this hotel b/c it offered two full bed suites, not just king suites. Both my husband and myself were traveling for work and needed the additional bed to spread our work stuff out on, but unfortunately when we checked in, the receptionist confirmed that we had booked a 2 bed suite, then told us we would get a king suite instead - they were out of the other. A couple other minor annoyances: 1) The concierge had literally no ideas or suggestions other than chain restaurants, and was mildly rude to boot; and 2)we never received a mini bar key. Also I kept reading complaints here about the expensive parking - here is a tip: Call and ask about 24-hour rates for valet and when they change over (i.e do you get charged for each day or for 24-hour periods). If you are needing parking for a partial 24-hour period, use the garage, it will be much cheaper. Other than that the hotel room was clean, bed (king) was fine, they skimp on amenities (no bath cap, etc) but it was totally doable. The area is OK not great kind of far from the water.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 14 of 170rooms are tired
I was not impressed with the condition of the room. They are ready for an update. The blanket on the bed had several holes in it, and the sheets were not in great condition, however the room was clean. The hotel located very near the gaslight district it is an easy walk to mnay restaurants and night spots. I might have missed it when I booked the reservation but there is an additional charge to park your car each day.
