Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 3 of 221Tired and Dated
The Sheraton Downtown Nashville is located immediately across the street from the state capitol and about six blocks from the Ryman, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and the Sommet Center. There was no major problem, but quite a few small nagging ones. For example, my room had no towels when I checked in; the bathroom was not dirty, but not exactly clean either; the TV check-out system did not work; and the room was very plain. Also, I paid for an executive club level room, but was given a room on a standard floor. When I called the front desk, I was told that the rooms on the club floor are identical to those on the standard floors, and that my key would give me access to the club floor for the snacks available from 5 to 8. If the only difference between the club level and the standard rooms are the cheap snacks, save your money and book a standard room.

Nice hotel, thought it would be nicer for the money. Can walk to Broadway and Somett Center VIP area on the 24 floor is nice. Check in personnel while helpful were not that freindly. There are better hotels in downtown for the money.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 221great location,
The Sheraton is in a great downtown location, within walking distance of Ryman Auditorium, the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Honky Tonks on Broadway, the Symphony, the Capitol Building, the Frist Center for the Arts, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had a quiet room in on the 16th floor that looked out over the Capitol Building and the distant mountains. Service in the hotel was great. All of the staff we interacted with was helpful and very nice. (Actually everyone in this city is very nice.) A couple caveats: While the hotel is perfectly clean, it's showing a little wear and the bed was not terrifically comfortable, a little slab-like. There's a reason why it's a 3.5 star hotel. We booked the room through hotels.com for less than half of what the nearby four-star hotels were asking per night. All considered, it was a nice place to stay, and for the price we paid, we felt like it was a great value.

Nice place to stay. Super convenient location, although many surrounding structures seemed inner city gritty. Really helpful front desk staff. Primary problem = parking! The parking garage was very dark, visually unattractive and not user friendly. Needs paint! Also, I don't think fees should be charged to hotel guests for parking as the hotel rates seemed to be high enough to cover this. The only other thing of note was a small long tan bug happily hanging out on the fresh clean white sheet. Since it didn't pay to stay, it was eliminated.
