    This hotel suited us to a "T" because it had everything we wanted/needed. Good food, good beach, good pool, great surroundings, etc. By the way, the breakfast buffet was really great. Although basically the same each day, there was a little something different every day just to mix it up. If we go back to Maui, we'd probably go back to the Sheraton because aside from being good, the price was good, as well.

Location. Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa in Kaanapali, Hawaii, occupies 23 acres along Kaanapali Beach, where the legendary Black Rock meets the ocean. Whalers Village and Museum is one mile from the resort. Historic Lahaina Town, Carthaginian and the Baldwin Mission House are five miles away.

Hotel Features. The trim green lawns and palm trees that dot the property lead to an open-air lobby decorated with slate tile floors, lava rock and botanical floral arrangements. Dining options include the open-air Kekaa Terrace, accessed via bridges that cross surrounding koi ponds. Teppan-yaki Dan is open for dinner only and features contemporary Japanese cuisine prepared at guests' tables. The Reef's Edge Lounge, Lagoon Bar and Sundowner Bar serve drinks and light fare. Black Rock Steak & Seafood opens for evening fine dining. Business services and meeting facilities are available on site. Complimentary wireless Internet access is provided in the pool and lobby areas. Recreational amenities include a fitness center, one outdoor pool, another lagoon-style outdoor pool and three tennis courts.

Guestrooms. Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa offers 508 guestrooms. Accommodations feature private balconies, most of which provide ocean views. Rooms are decorated with wicker and dark wooden furnishings. Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Beds include feather and down or hypo-allergenic pillows, duvets, and 230-thread-count sheets. Accommodations include mini fridges. High-speed Internet access is complimentary. Cable television is provided. Bathrooms feature complimentary toiletries and shower/tub combinations with handheld showerheads.

Expert Tip. Kaanapali's famous volcanic Black Rock is a popular site for photography, snorkeling and diving. The site is located on resort grounds. Should explorations continue past dusk, all guestrooms are equipped with flashlights.
