    the hotel was alright nothing special only the breakfast was great, at night there were too many lights on outside my door the taxies and the tuk-tuk outside the hotel charged 50-100% more than others you could get further pass the hotel it is a lot like London (in Bangkok) they overcharge you for everything and not good service

Location. Shanghai Mansion is located in the Chinatown district of Bangkok, Thailand, and is two kilometers from the Silom business district and Little India and three kilometers from MBK Center and Siam Square.

Hotel Features. A former Chinese opera house, Shanghai Mansion offers the style and décor of 1930s Shanghai with its collection of Chinese antiques, brocades and silks. The hotel includes a day spa that provides Chinese, Thai and Western massage and treatments. A restaurant and bar also are on site. The nonsmoking hotel offers high- speed wired Internet access for a fee and complimentary wireless Internet access in public areas. Additional amenities include a grocery store and dry cleaning service. Parking is available near the hotel, and the hotel provides airport transportation for a fee. Pets are not permitted in the hotel.

Guestrooms. The six-story hotel includes 75 guestrooms decorated with varied colorful Chinese décor and antique furniture. Décor in some rooms includes stained glass windows, and others include Chinese day beds and contemporary interpretations of Chinese screens. Rooms offer complimentary wireless Internet access, LCD televisions with cable channels, complimentary minibars, coffee and tea makers, complimentary bottled water and refrigerators. Rooms also include bathrobes and slippers.

Expert Tip. Siam Square is one of Bangkok s large, busy entertainment and shopping districts. The area includes restaurants, cafés, a variety of boutiques and services, book stores and theaters. The square is connected to other nearby shopping centers by a sky bridge.
