Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 1 of 16Unique Place to Stay
Second Home was a unique experience being owned and operated by the family of one of the most renowned Peruvian artists. We wre given a tour of not only the B&B portion but also taken to the studio and private home of the artist. That was the most amazing part. A nice place to stay and a cultural tour at the same time. It's close proximity to the historic area of Peru was exceptional as well. All within walking distance.

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 16A little Oasis in Lima
My boyfriend and I stayed here after completing the Inca Trail and found it to be a great place to unwind and relax after a 4 day trek. We had an ocean view room where we could hear the waves crashing and it was fabulous! Just so great. The art work was interesting and the staff was cordial. I found the owner to be a bit standoffish yet she was also quite helpful, so I guess I shouldn't really complain. I wish I could stay in a place like this in every major city around the world. It was a nice place to end our trip and to feel some luxury in a very different but awesome environment.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 3 of 16Beautiful Bed and Breakfast style Hotel
We stayed at Second Home Peru our first and last nights in Lima and loved both visits. The staff is very friendly and Lillian the owner was very gracious. the grounds were beautiful as they are the home of artist Victor Delfin. Wonderful sculptures and paintings fill the common areas, guest rooms, and grounds. Lillian will also give you a tour of the series of buildings on the property. The rooms were charming, clean, and comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Lima!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 16Didn't want to leave...
After spending 2 weeks in Peru we came to Second Home. This hotel is more like a luxury guest house/museum. We had an oceanview room, which we could enjoy the gorgeous sunset from or go out on the lawn with the 2 very sweet dogs. The sheets were soft like microfiber. The property is extremely well maintained and very secure with locked, gated entry by intercom. There is interesting art *all* over the property. Oh, and the breakfast had wonderful breads, toast, 4 kinds of jam and fresh fruit. I do wish there was a fan in the room, since I wanted to shut the windows as I'm sensitive to sound. I would absoulutely go back!!

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 7 of 16Wonderful Experience
This was a splendid place to stay. The room that overlooked the Pacific Ocean, was comfortable, the bed and the sheets wonderful, and the staff and service extremely friendly and helpful. Lilian arranged for transportation and had great suggestions for sites to visit (and what to avoid) in Lima. The home is filled with art works by her father and is simply charming. Splendid restaurants within walking distance in a great neighborhood.

We really enjoyed our stay at Second Home in Lima. A real gem. We had the ocean view room and had to tear ourselves away to go visit museums and restaurants.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 10 of 16Nice location
Beautiful view of the beach. It even has a porch/balcony you can sit on to watch the beach. It's a drive from the airport, but in a really nice neighborhood where you can walk around and feel safe. Very neat hotel/art gallery! Haven't seen anything like it before. Very nice stay!

I have stayed at many hotels over the years, and have never been so please with a stay. It has a great location, the owner and her workers make you feel like you are part of the family. They give suggestions on restaurants, places of interest, and entertainment spots. Two high thumbs up.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 16Second Home is the best
We spent our entire vacation in tents and hostels and treated ourselves to SEcond Home Peru our last night in Lima. Not only was our room gorgeous, stylish, and comfortable, but it was huge, and we had a solarium. Lillian, the proprieter is amazing and welcoming and wonderful, and made us feel at home. The ocean view from the balcony was to die for, and if i ever go back to Lima, I will be sure to stay with Lillian and Second Home again.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 15 of 16Good hotel to stay at if you want to avoid the high priced hotels.
I thought this hotel as more of a bed and breakfast. The owners live on the premisses and offer to show you Lima. I liked the price and how close it was to Larcomar (turist shopping area for Americans mostly). It is a 5 min (5-10 soles)taxi to Miraflores where all the people go to shop and enjoy the views. The hotel driver picked us up from the airport which was great. Room has not heating and the hot water runs out quickly.
