Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 54value for the buck
if vacationing on a budget, this is a good fit. the rooms were comfortable and clean. could use some cosmetic work. It was right on the beach and close to the boardwalk and pier. The pool was nice. Would have been better if a grill or bbq pit was available.

Price of the room was right; but the hotel needs to be updated........thought I was back in the 30's. Carpet needed to be cleaned/ replaced. Would not stay there by myself.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 4 of 54Location great but leave your shoes on in the room!
Great location, scary room. We kept our shoes on as we walked around because the carpet must be original to the hotel. Very nice location right next to the boardwalk if you are only staying one night or so. If we were to stay for more than one night i would have spent money on a room. This was just to sleep in and thats all it is good for. NO Luxury here! Also we were giving a huge packet of rules and the front desk clerk seem less than happy for us to be checking in. Keys didn't work and door of our room did not shut with ease. But great location and nice price.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 54unorganized and hidden fees
first off, my party and i arrived to find out that we couldn't check in until 2 hours after the time we were suppose to check in. when i asked why, this rude woman from behind the counter snapped at me about some spring breakers vandelizing something the previous week like it was my fault or something. then i found out about the hidden fees that they forgot to mention online. everyone staying in my room had to give them a cash security deposit of $100 apiece. then we had to pay an extra $35 for some kind of insurance. the service and employees there are very unorganized and rude. the location to all the nightclubs and restaurants though somewhat made up for it and it was right on the beach.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 54Location Location Location
Took 5 college students to Daytona last week. The kids loved the location and easy access to all the activities. The hotel is old and not spotless by any means. When I asked the kids where they wanted to stay next year they said the Seaside Inn! You get what you pay for at this hotel. Don't expect spotless and updated.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 8 of 54Don't even think about staying there
This hotel is really rediculous. The building itself is in very bad condition, the cleanliness of our room, especially of the carpet, was bad and there was not even a heater in our room. The only advantage is the location.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 54Dirties carpet in florida
This hotel has the nastiest carpet I have ever seen. We put our bedspreads on the floor so we didn't touch the carpet. The "kitchenette" has a refrigerator with the door liteally rusting off, nasty outside, but clean inside. There are no dishes, utensils, cups, coffee maker, toaster. The stove barely heats. At check-in they tried to act like there was no way we got that room for the rate we booked, and tried to charge us more, unsuccessfully,so stand your ground. The mattresses were ok, not good, but ok. We re-washed all of the linens before we slept on them, jsut in case. The curtains were mildewed. However, we did book it for next to nothing and the the location of this hotel is awesome. We were beachfront, and I mean right on the beach. The water was less than 100 yards away. The pier and boardwalk are 6 blocks away. It's an easy walk to everything. We knew we would be slumming it, and we definately were. But we did stay 4 nights and stayed on the balcony and the beach the whole time to avoid the nasty room. So if you're desperate for sunshine and are broke, you can tough it out like we did, and you'll get your dirt-cheap vacation. Just don't take off your shoes in the room, don't waste your money on the kitchenette, but definately get beachfront.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 54Get what you pay for...
Our first impression of the hotel was awful! The exterior was in need of serious repair and as we were checking in, some college boys were playing with the ice machine and the clerk had to get onto them. She also charged us an extra $10 for the safe and parking and she told us to use the safe (scary). We got an upgrade to a room with a kitchen for free because it was the only available non-smoking room. We stayed for a Saturday night and Sunday Night. Saturday night was the party night and I wouldn't recommend staying on a Saturday night, but Sunday night the hotel wasn't crowded at all and it was nice. The pool was clean, but the water was warm and not refreshing at all, but the location on the beach was awesome! The room was surprisingly clean! It wasn't updated, but I felt like I could actually get some sleep! :) We told the maid that she didn't have to clean our room because we didn't want anything to go missing. Overall, we got two nights for the price of one in a nicer hotel and we were very satisfied. If we had paid more, we would probably write a nasty review of this place, but I've stayed in worse and paid more for them! We would stay there again if we're in the Daytona area!

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 54Good location, but...
good location-on the beach, between much expensive high rises.... however, the rooms are very old and poorly maintained... our neighbor (old lady-by voice) smoked constantly, and the smoke was penetrating thru the door (between the rooms), she also had her TV on all night (as well as her dog was barking-but not that much), so the noise, the smell... we stayed only 1 night

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 54Needs Updates
The location was excellent and the cost was very affordable. Unfortunately the hotel needs many updates and repairs that are not being kept up. The room was damp. It is an okay place for someone who can manage their own safety and is using the room just for sleeping a night: For a week vacation - not so much.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 54Needs lots of improvement
The walls of the hotel were so thin that guests in the adjoining rooms seemed to be in your room. There was no control of the heating and air conditioning. The beds were hard and very uncomfortable. The bathroom was in bad need of repair.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 15 of 54Good for one night
If you looking for a bed and a cheap place to stay this would be the place for you. The room was pretty clean and the beds were comfortable. I just needed a bed for one night and this was just right.
