I arrived & checked in, got to the room w/family. Took a look around & decided to check right back out (in room poss. 15 minutes) Hotel staff was rude & unorganized (house keeping understaffed 4 people). I walked into the room & got a headache from the stinch (smelling of smoke & mildew). Flooring was nasty & turned my feet black. Beds were lumpy. Door was broke going into the room.

For the money that we paid I wasn't expecting too much but one of the things that I did expect was to be able to sleep at night. The air conditioning did not have a thermostat in the room and the unit was either set too high or did not function well. This resulted in the room feeling a bit humid and uncomfortable, especially when the temperature outside was in the 90s! Also, when I checked in I was told that I needed to pay extra fees for parking and the safe in the room. This was a surprise as I didn't remember seeing this mentioned when I booked the room. Besides this I had no other complaints. The motel was clean, staff were very friendly, and the location was excellent as it was just a very short walk to the boardwalk.

When the hotel clerk learned of our registration through hotel.com she let us know that we could have reserved for less but it was too late now? Then charged us extra for "incidentals"; defined as, guests parking, safe in room (which we never used). Kids partied in the parking lot most of the night. Many relocated from the parking lot to the room adjacent to us! Learn from our mistake.

This hotel was in horrible condition. I would not suggest anyone stay there. The walls were paper thin and the rooms were dirty and in need of repair. I wanted to give them the benefit of doubt so i didnt listen to all the negative reviews...big mistake.
