Hilarious experience

This hotel is both awesome and hilariously bad. We stayed in the master suite, which one would assume is the nicest room in the hotel. The room was large and did include a large jacuzzi, wet bar, etc as advertised. However, it looks like the hotel rooms haven't been updated since 1974. It was like walking into a time machine. The decor was a ridiculous 70s maroon theme. The carpet was probably older than me. Everything felt like it would be sticky if you touched it due to the general seedy 1970s look. Luckily though, cleanliness ok for the most part. For example, the room advertised "two televisions" which it did have. However, one of the televisions looked like a late 70s vintage model. Other than the room, the hotel was fine. The pool was large as advertised and there was a smallish casino in the hotel. The staff were helpful with driving directions and the parking lot attendant seemed to go out of his way in helping us park in the safest location in the parking lot where he could watch our car. If you are going here for a romantic get-away, make sure both of you are comfortable with this sort of place. It could be fun for some, but it would not be the place to bring someone new to impress them. If you consider yourself either an amateur archeologist or are a 70s TV star, absolutely stay here for the experience. It would be a great location for a 70s theme party. It feels safe over and the location is a two-block walk to the main strip in town. Otherwise, find some place a lot nicer and more modern for the same price. There are plenty of resort level places in the area at similar prices.
