Needs better personnel

On saturday 8/1/09 we spent 3 hours on the line at the receiver to get our room because they didn't have enough personnel to clean up the rooms, this never happend before to me, it is the first time in 10 years as a their guest.

Needs Improvments

drinking water thatcame from the hotel water system look with a dark color and nasty.

Needs alot of improvement in service

we had numberous problems with this hotel, i will list the most in the following list: wrong food when ording room service.. Porn magazines in hotel drawers (I had Kids with me). No cleaning of room for 2 days and no toilet paper for 2 days and never cleaned jacuzzi tubs. No wash clothes or hand towels left consistantly. We were chased down by a waiter asking for 10 times the tip we left, do to horrible service. Found door left open in evening when we came back after full day of being gone. Tried to charge again at end of stay for the hotel charge when it was already paid through Hotels.com 5 months previously. Charged for borrowing room service tray for beach (an outrageous amount). for 1 hour with no refund. Cockroachs in bathroom. Had to have keys re done 3 times as they quit working. No working kitchen in President Suite. Different answer by 5 different people within same hour, due to very little english spoken from anyone in hotel, most could not speak english at all for a resort of USA citizens. No garbage can replacements. All in all I would never stay at hotel again, they offered no courtesy to us at all. Thank You.

awful stay

First and foremost there was lack of hospitality and empathy displayed by hotel representatives. At check-in there was not even so much as a welcome. Hotel representatives answered questions in a monotone and bothered fashion. The few times that we called customer service it was busy or they answered and subsequently left the phone off the hook without returning. Luckily, we were able to get through once to order desert. The room was disgusting. The carpet was wet, stained and smelled moldy. It was so bad that we debated whether or not to take our shoes off. The bet cover and mattress were also stained. There was left over hair on the bathroom sink and on one of the bed pillows. We had a hard time sleeping and ached each morning because the mattresses were so hard. The pool area was filthy. Anyone could easily see yellowish-brown sods and blots all over the waterline. Although attractive, hotel beach area was always full of people. This made it impossible to find a courtesy shaded area. We remedied the problem by walking off the hotel grounds to find a nice beach area with some privacy. This seclusion was short lived. Our family moments were frequently interrupted by speeding motorists on recreational vehicles that came inches away from our beach towel leaving sand all over our stuff. Many of these vehicles were driven by minors and rented through Hotel Plaza San Carlos. Although we know we could not get our money back, this was the first time we have ever contemplated leaving a resort early.
