Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 297Decent Hotel
Our stay was okay. We had fun considering the fact our original room was for no smoking, but, we ended up having a plumbing problem and was moved to the smoking section. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed Sam's Town and will definitely come again. If there was one area where they could improve it would have to be dinner choices Sunday through Thursday. The dinner buffet was a little pricey, the snack bar had only one cook and the restaurant was very expensive. On Friday and Saturday nights, however, Smokey Joe's Cafe offers very reasonably priced pasta dishes and sandwiches. We arrived on Saturday and had the best dinner of our entire stay that first night.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 297Convenient and comfortable
Our room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The small cafe across from the buffet has great food, generous portions and terrific service. The buffet also has very good food.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 297Great hotel
This hotel was very clean with professional staff from the front desk to the cleaning service. Our only problem was the air conditioning. It did not appear to work in the first room. The desk clerk promptly moved us to another room down the hall. Unfortunately, the air still did not seem to work very well. We adjusted the thermostat to 60 degrees, but had to remove the comforter from the bed at night. Otherwise, we were very pleased. The bed, pool and workout room were above standard. We will try this hotel again.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 297Please with stay
During our recent weekend getaway, we were very pleased with our room and how clean and up to date the room was. Staff was very friendly. The pool area was well maintained and we were very pleased how fast hotel security arrived when young teenagers arrived without parents and escorted out of the area. Slight disappointment with "Twains" steak house. Service was good, food not as good as we would of hoped for the money.

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 297Poor Operations
I recently stayed at this hotel only to discover that they don't have high sped internet access. I spoke to several employees of which no ont could give me an explaination as to why there is no service. I am only left to speculate that the hotel no longer provides or has access to internet. In addition, the location of this hotel is so far out that even my high speed wireless card could not get adequate reception.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 297Needs a new staff and updated rooms
My expectations were higher based on the star rating. However, I was disappointed with the staff, cleanliness and comfort of the room. Upon checking in the staff at the front desk appeared unconcerned that there was a guest trying to check in as they continued with their loud conversation. When there was a lull, my husband said "Excuse me" and was told we would be helped in a minute. We then waited an additional 5 minutes for them to complete this conversation and assign us a room. Upon entering the room the first thing we noticed was the return air vent that was hanging sideways on the wall missing half the screws that hold it on. The room was hot and had a smokey odor although we requested NON smoking. We kept resetting the thermostat to cool the room off but it took till the middle of the night before it was comfortable enough to sleep. There were very few cable stations available, no premium channels.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 15 of 297Hotel needs improvement, but then NOT In Tunica to gamble
Rooms need a facelift. Nothing horrible, just getting a bit shabby. Bed and linens were great, though. Carpet and furniture very used. Bathroom clean, but wallpaper dated and getting worn. Typical casino lodging. Didn't go to gamble, so can't comment on casino. Had dinner at the upscale restaurant and was extremely pleased. Breakfast buffet in morning typical casino type - acceptable but not outstanding. Drinks at show very disappointing. I'm not the typical Casino guest, so probably not the typical guest for this hotel.
