Trip Type: Family Review 16 of 737Great place to stay.
With all of the choices for a hotel room, we made the right one with The Salisbury. It was close or a short walk to many attractions-Central Park,Time Square and Rockefeller Center. The rooms were neat and spacious. The staff friendly and helpful. I look forward to another stay there.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 17 of 737Great Location
Great hotel with great location, easy walk to the Met Opera, Columbus Circle, Times Square, Central Park and luxury shopping. Would definitely stay here again. Not a fancy hotel but perfectly adequate and the beds were really comfy!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 18 of 737Not bad for the price and location
As a tourist, the hotel location was great because it's just south of central park and north of the theater district. Also there was easy subway access. We had a room facing the main street and it was pretty noisy. I asked for some complimentary ear plugs from the front desk, but never received any. We just bought some from Duane Reade and were able to sleep well through the night.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 21 of 737Great room for the money
We go to New York several times a year and this hotel was by far the best deal for the money. The room was very clean. My only complaint was the mattresses were Ultra Firm which were a little too hard for our liking. However, we won't stay anywhere else if the rate stays around the same price. Great deal! Trip Type: Not Provided Review 22 of 737Great location and value
Incredibly spacious room (two closets!) and two double beds with a kitchenette-- for the most reasonable price to be found in NYC. Amazing location and value. Service was excellent. We will stay there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 23 of 737Highly recommended
We saw a special price advertised thru hotels.com and decided to investigate. All looked good, so we booked it for two nights. Arrived and asked if there was an upgrade available as we had the family with us. We were given an upgrade into a very large room. The big room reminded me of an apartment more than a hotel. There's nothing overly fancy in the room, but the size and service made up for it. And the location. It's two blocks (about 1/3 mile) South of Central Park and centrally located. We walked to Times Square and the Museum of Modern Art, and caught subways everywhere else (there's a subway located about 300 feet to the left on 6th Ave. and another about 300 feet to the right on 7th Ave.) The front desk helped with directions, and the doorman/bellhop was helpful and very pleasant. They also allowed us an extra hour for checkout, as our flight was later in the day. This overall experience convinced me to stay at the Salisbury each time I return to New York.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 24 of 737great location
The location was great, in between two subway lines. I was able to walk to wherever I needed to go. Even though the hotel was somewhat old, there's nothing really to complain about. The only thing I could complain about was that the elevators were slow.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 25 of 737Great room and location and price
My sister and I stayed in a standard room for 5 nights in late October. It was LARGE,included a refrigerator/microwave and coffee pot.We were two blocks from Central Park and there were grocery stores;wine shops;restaurants within one block of us.It really was a very comfortable stay.Minor inconvenience was the ice machine on the third floor(we were on 12) as I said minor. We would certainly stay there again.

The rooms were large and the closet space was terrific. The beds were comfortable. There is quite a lot of street noise.
