they forgot about me

they actually forgot to check the room for one whole day. no one checked the room or cleaned or emptied the trash or anything, but they charged me. the manager took absolutely no responsibility for this neglect.

they just don't care

after checking in, i noticed that both tv clickers did not work, but they were promptly corrected, after i complained. the 2nd morning, i noticed that housekeeping had not left me any complimentary coffee which i had been planning to enjoy on the balcony facing the gulf. on my way out, i mentioned it to the manager, scott , who said he would get right on it. although he did make a few flippant comments, when i asked him what the 20 dollar additional charge was for on my card ("incidentals"). however, when i returned late that night, not only did i not have coffee for the morning again, but the bed had not been made, the towels had not been freshened, the trash had not been emptied. in other words, no one had bothered to check the room that day! (i did not have a do not disturb sign on the door. actually, come to think of it, there was no security patrolling or standing on guard in the garage that night. i called the front desk, & they advised me to speak to the manager, scott, in the morning, but the gentleman said he would leave scott a note. the next morning, scott did not seem to be familiar with my problem. when i told him what happened, his only response was that he would speak to the housekeeping supervisor. i would like to speak to scott's supervisor, because i think that that response was totally unsatisfactory for a manager. he took absolutely no responsibility for the service provided. i reminded him that to not check the room is a potential liability issue for the hotel. he did not seem to understand what i was talking about. i think the management takes their job very lightly. i did not enjoy my stay at this hotel.

Nice.

This was a nice hotel, considering the cheap price, it was a nice surprise. Away from the noise of the airport, yet just a short drive. The property had some nice little amenities out on the "beach" area.

Not satisfied...

Bedsheets were dirty with stains, had to sleep on couch, no remote control and no one could get one. Was charged additional money on card, at check in we asked if we were going to be charged anything and were told no. Office manager was very rude, would not recommend this hotle to anyone.

horrible

Th eroom was filthy. It had "questionable" stains on the bed sheets. We had no remote for the TV in the bedroom and when we called they told us that they had run out of remotes and basically tough luck. Also the website said this had a jacuzzi, it did not. For someone whose has been in the hotel industry for a while, this was a horrible place.

Great Room and Locatino for the Money

We saw dolphins playing, fish jump and birds hunt in the bay from our room. The sandy area set aside for fun and relazation was great. The resturants nearby are nice too.

Good value for the money

The hotel is obviously older and looks like it might at one time have been a waterfront condo converted to a hotel. It's RIGHT ON THE BAY and even the cheaper rooms have great views. It's set up with a real kitchen and dishwasher and is a lot further from the road noise than other waterfront hotels in the area...would definitely stay again...GREAT VALUE FOR THE PRICE.

Great room for the money

Check in took all of maybe 2 minutes at the most and parking was a breeze right underneath of check in desk. Then we were given room in the same building and the views were outstanding. The suite was spacious and very comfortable. I work in the hospitality industry and am familiar with both good and bad service and even here I was impressed with excellent service. We had to request a new remote (probably dead batteries) and not only did the engineer replace our remote he also fixed a couple of the blind strips which he noticed even before we did. I will definitely be back as soon as I can get some days off.

Great hotel

Sailport greatly exceeded my expectations. It was in a great location - an easy drive from the airport and very close to Clearwater. The place had great sunsets each day. The pool was very nice and staff at the front desk were very helpful. We had to leave one day early unexepectely and they refunded us with no problems. I definitely recommend this hotel. It was a superb value for the money.
