Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 54The price was right
This Hotel was built in the 30's and the atmosphere is great. It fits right in with everything that is Taos. The beds are a little soft, the bathrooms a little dated but the room was clean. We had our own balcony from the rustic logs construction that is the Sagebrush. This was our second visit.

The hotel was too far from downtown for my liking, about 2 miles. But it was a good value, since it includes a good breakfast in the price.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 4 of 54Nice place, a little loud.
The band in the bar played late and loud, needed earplugs to sleep. Other than that a nice hotel with Taos charm.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 54Needs Major Improvement
We were very disappointed with the treatment we received at this hotel. It used to be a very classy hotel 20 tyears ago. When we first arrived at the registration desk, the first employee to greet us did so by saying: "We are too busy right now. Don't bother us." That was shocking. A second employee asked if we were checking in as part of the charter school group and I informed her that we were not with that group. She checked us in. We had reserved a room with two queen-size beds and a fireplace. The room had one queen-size bed. The other bed was a murphy bed. The TV had an 8" screen and had poor reception. Once we pulled the murphy bed down, there was no way we could light the fireplace. When we asked the hours for the swimming pool, the answer was blunt. The only saving grace was the nice person who helped us in the restaurant for a nice breakfast. However, when some members of our party ordered breakfast in person and asking it be delivered to their room, they were told the breakfast would arrive in 15 minutes. After 40 minutes, they called the restaurant only to find out they had to pick up the breakfast themselves. Of course, by then the breakfast was cold and soggy. We will not be staying at this hotel ever again. It was a huge let down.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 6 of 54Neat old hotel
This was a really cool place. We were in one of the older rooms that actually had 2 bedrooms which was nice with children. The room was clean and comfortable. My only negative observations were all to do with maintenance. When things were repaired(being an older hotel, there was a lot)they were done poorly, cheaply, or hastily and sometimes not at all. There seemed to be a lot of lightbulbs out which is such an easy fix.

The rooms smelled of smoke and very noisy. Also cleaning could have been done better. For the price it was not very nice.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 54Rustic Taos Hotel
Older hotel. Needs some updating. Tv's are very old. Bathrooms were clean, but no ventilation, therefore hot in the NM summer. Carpets looked original and I wore my flip flops at all times. Complimentary breakfast was very good. Staff was friendly.

I enjoyed my stay at the Sagebrush Inn. The building is old but the comfort zone including the Fireplace was great! I would recommend this hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was great. The breakfast, included in the stay, was wonderful. The hotel is very conveniently located. We really enjoyed our room. We were on a road trip and stayed in six different hotels. The Sagebrush was by far the best value.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 15 of 54"Historic"
Sometimes "historic" means a bit run down. Everything was OK. Our room had a terrible smell and was pretty run down but I guess it was clean. It had two queen beds. We had to sleep on the pull down murphy bed because the other one was so broken down on one side, I rolled right off! The food in the restaurant was not very good but the breakfast that was included was really a very good value and probably the best part of the whole stay. We didn't swim in the pool because it looked very dirty.
