This Hotel was built in the 30's and the atmosphere is great. It fits right in with everything that is Taos. The beds are a little soft, the bathrooms a little dated but the room was clean. We had our own balcony from the rustic logs construction that is the Sagebrush. This was our second visit.

Popular down through the 20th century with vacationing Easterners like painter Georgia O'Keefe, the Sagebrush Inn & Conference is ideally situated in one of the most exquisite spots in the American Southwest-Taos, N.M. For more than 1,000 years, people from Kit Carson to author D.H. Lawrence have gathered in Taos for meetings, including many Native-American tribes and French fur trappers-and today's scientists, filmmakers, authors, educators and thousands of tourists who walk through a doorway into the Southwest's past. Located within a half-hour's drive of the snow-capped ski resorts of northern New Mexico, the moderately-priced Sagebrush Inn & Conference Center houses an extensive collection of Native-American artifacts, rugs, art, sculpture, pottery and the late Ms. O'Keefe's painting studio in Room 301. Guests can walk across the street to Taos Spa and Tennis Club or walk and drive to scenic sites for fishing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, rock climbing, hot-air ballooning and river rafting. The awe- inspiring Rio Grande Gorge Bridge is only seven miles away. They also can drive to quaint Santa Fe down the road and enjoy more collections of Southwest and Native- American shops and sites.

At the full-service Sagebrush Inn & Conference Center, patrons will enjoy ballroom and banquet facilities; business services; 24- hour front desk; lobby fireplace; two family-sized hot tubs; outdoor swimming pool; daily housekeeping; and discounted use of a nearby fitness center. Rooms feature balconies and patios, cable/satellite TVs, coffee makers, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards, microwave ovens on request, refrigerators, and other amenities. Some rooms include wood-burning fireplaces. The Sagebrush Dining Room will delight the taste buds of tourists with cooked-to-order breakfasts and Southwestern cuisine, while the Los Vaqueros Restaurant will provide diners with prime rib, grilled chicken and full wine menu. Guests can boot- scoot to Sagebrush Cantina's live county-and-western music.
