Definetly "Run Away" from Runaway Inn

This hotel reminds me of a typical run down hotel. It shouldn't be called a hotel. It should be called a motel. Everything from the bed to the light on the ceiling was bad. Even the a/c was not adjustable. One star, not two!

You get more than you pay for

I took this hotel for an overnight trip to Miami. Had a little trouble finding the shuttle van, but desk clerk was very patient with me. Hotel lobby was kind of old and musty, but room was very modern and clean (with a new Sharp LCD TV) and the mattress was nice and firm and the room was surprisingly quite since it is across the street from the airport. Free breakfast was very good also -- fresh coffee, orange juice, oatmeal, cold cereal, and various breads and muffins. For the price I paid, with the free shuttle and breakfast, it was a very good deal.

For an overnight stay

I have tried several hotels for an overnight stay before or after the flight to Miami. This one was the best for the price we paid and we'll definitely go there again if we need a room for a night after a long flight. Car rentals are nearby, too. Great room for the money.

Great Option

This hotel is great if your staying for a night, the bed and pillows were surprisingly confortable, had a flat screen tv, basically what you, and the airport shuttle was great. I would definitely stay here again.

Bates Motel 2009...

We booked this hotel because we were going to a party in the area and needed a place to shower and leave our luggage. The hotel did NOT serve its purpose. The lobby had a moldy, smoky smell. The gentleman at the reception desk was smoking and wasn't very receptive when we asked about taxis, check-out times or other hotel 'amenities.' The hallway was poorly lit and the room wasn't any better. It looks like someone dented the wall and they did a spotty job covering it up. The toilet was running the entire time and you can't take a shower without touching the walls. The shower stall was small and rusty and the sink had long blond hair all around it. We asked the reception for an iron and he said we might have to wait until the morning to 'see if' they had one; unacceptable. The room doesn't have an AC or thermostat that you can control so be prepared with your OWN towels & blankets. Our towels were small and stained. The vending machine and ice machines are in the lobby and only the ice machine worked, so no beverages or snacks. If you need a hotel just for location, then this is fine, and the airport shuttle is convienecet. However, if you need something long term or something that has the basics, don't go with Runway. We only spent 3hrs in the room and we were happy we didn't have to stay a minute longer than that.

Good location

The hotel is perfect if you are going to stay only one night and the next day you are leaving and need to get to the airport. Also the transportation service to the airport from the hotel is good

Needs Improvement

Location,Rate,and A comfortable bed were all satisfactory but...NO ELEVATOR. This fact should be listed.

its what it is

i was skeptical about staying here when i read some of the reviews. however after my 1 night stay i say the hotel is just right for that amount of money. i needed a one night place and it met my needs. yes the bathroom is very small, the towels are cheap and thin. but my room was clean and the bed was comfortable. i stayed on a wed night so the hotel was quiet. i got in at 8:30pm and left at 9am...why pay a lot of money for that?

Needs Improvement

This was not the worst hotel I've been to, but it was not worth what I paid. This hotel needs some improvements. The building is very old and the walls are very thin. We had a screaming kid in the room next to us that you could hear very clearly. We got woken up at 1:00 am and again at 7:00 am. The bathrooms are very small with nowhere to hang towels and no counters. The room would have been worth it at half the price I paid.

Just average

We stayed at this hotel the night before our cruise. The room was very small, and not enough room to put your luggage. There was 4 of us, and it was too small. The bathroom was very tiny...no countertop to put anything on, and the water in the shower filled up and drained very slowly. It was loud (no carpet on the hallway floors). The room was clean. If you're looking for just an overnoight before your cruise for just 2 people, it's okay for the price.
