    Terrible service- not much staff available. It was all inclusive and they didn't even have bottled water available. Food was horrible. Restaurants were dated. Rooms are older, bed is hard. The patio has a concrete slab blocking a beautiful ocean view, so all you see when sitting on the deck is the concrete slab wall. Overall I did not enjoy the stay and we checked out early, forfeiting all our money and paid for another place that was much nicer. The trip was great once we changed properties.

    We had a blast! The entire staff was great. The only negative would be the smells in the public bathrooms...but this is Mexico...they need to start flushing their TP! You could find a quiet pool or a pool w/activities--your choice. Great fun.

Location. Royal Solaris Cancun Resort, Marina and Spa All Inclusive is located at the secluded southern boundary of Cancun, Mexico, on an expanse of white-sand and rock beach. Wet 'n Wild offers family entertainment two kilometers away while multiple shopping malls, restaurants and nightclubs stand within eight kilometers of this property.

Hotel Features. Las Fuentas restaurant offers linen service and views of the pool and sea. Mexican dishes and cooked-to-order omelets are this restaurant's specialty. Veneto is known for its homemade pasta while Marco Polo adds local finesse to Oaxacan, Yucatan and Mediterranean dishes. Seven additional restaurants and bars serve guests' culinary desires. A bi-level pool features a section that cascades into a lower level with a swim-up bar. A second "quiet" pool lies adjacent to two 20-person spa tubs. The health and beauty spa provides massages and treatments (fees apply). The complimentary fitness center features cardiovascular and weight machines, free weights, and offers complimentary aerobics sessions. An air-conditioned Kids' Club extends to an outdoor sandbox and a shaded playground. Supervised activities include arts and crafts, and Lego contests.

Guestrooms. The Royal Solaris offers 500 air-conditioned guestrooms in two eight-story, sand-colored sections. One section is a tower while the other section resembles a seaside village with red-tile roofs and courtyards. Décor features pale gray-tiled floors, caramel-color furnishings, bright bedspreads and marble vanities. Some rooms include ground-floor terraces or step-out balconies. Bathrooms feature shower-tub combinations and complimentary toiletries.

Expert Tip. Although the resort offers boundless activities, guests may wish to experience the nightlife of downtown Cancun. A complimentary one-way shuttle bus serves the hotel and provides downtown transportation.
