    Service ran hot or cold. You never knew whether you were going to get really friendly, helpful service or indifferent, almost rude service. That made for both pleasant and unpleasant experiences but unfortunately the negative experiences linger in your mind longer. There is some rather noisy construction going on at teh moment so unless you don't mind listening to the grind of a chainsaw while on vacation, be sure to request a room away from that. (although even that isn't a guarantee) Food was exccellent as were the buffets but if you have children and are staying for an extended period of time, they may get bored with the same menu for lunch and dinner every day. Chef is very gracious and accommodating for special needs events. Get travel insurance. Friends of ours had their flight cancelled and had to forfeit their first night's accommodation despite confirmation that it was beyond their control.

Location. The Rosewood Little Dix Bay, a charming boutique resort beyond a colorful barrier reef, is located in Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands. Home to the Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour and shopping center, Spanish Town is within two kilometers of the resort. Less than four kilometers away are the half-mile crescent beaches surrounded by a coral reef. The Baths of Virgin Gorda are the British Virgin Islands' most famous geological landmark, with a 20-minute snorkel trail through the large volcanic boulders, grottoes and pools, all within five kilometers of the resort.

Hotel Features. An open-air restaurant, The Pavilion, provides sweeping sea views, afternoon tea and live music most evenings. Grilled seafood and meats are served directly on the beach at The Sugar Mill café. The hotel offers a complimentary welcome bottle of run and mixers. Complimentary activities include snorkeling lessons, a guided snorkel tour, and Sunfish sailboats and kayaks. A weekly manager's cocktail reception is complimentary. The resort provides transportation to nearby beaches. A fitness room and Sense, the resort's spa, are available. Group yoga classes are offered for a fee. The Caribbean Pleasures treatment includes an indulgent 60-miinute Virgin Gorda Goat Milk & Honey Wrap, followed by a Neem Leaf Facial.

Guestrooms. Many guestrooms offer ocean views and a private patio or deck. All rooms feature Bose CD players. Bathrooms contain Lady Primrose toiletries and bathrobes. Minibars are available.

Expert Tip. Tennis players hone their skills at weekly, complimentary round-robin tennis tournaments and Cardio Tennis classes on site.
