    This is such a lovely place. My teenaged daughter and I were in Berkeley for a science event and to tour the campus (possible future college choice). It was convenient, but more than that it was homey, lovely, welcoming, and the breakfast was outstanding! It is not a cookie-cutter 'hotel' and that made all the difference. We loved our stay and would go back again! (and again and again!)

The Rose Garden is a boutique hotel located within a few short blocks of U.C. Berkeley. You will start your day off right with a complimentary full buffet breakfast that includes eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes, fresh fruit, hot & cold cereals, breads, rolls, muffins, juice, milk and coffee. The hotel is within close proximity to area attractions including College Avenue br Shops, Berkeley Marina, Tilden Park, Berkeley Symphony, Greek Theater and Pier 39. Each of the 40 cozy and tastefully appointed guest rooms include exceptional amenities such as private bath, telephones with data ports capabilities and 24-hour coffee and tea service. Kathy Kuhner originated the Rose Garden Inn in memory of her grandmother, Elizabeth Taber. Ms. Taber was the inspiration for the gardens and the interiors. She loved chintz and china and roses would certainly be fond of the gardens and property as it is today. A cordial and attentive staff is available to assist you with all your needs.
