Description
See more detailsThe Rodrigo de Vivar hotel stands inside Medieval grounds once belonging to descendents of Pope Clemente II. The hotel is adjacent to Pope Giulio II's Castle in Rome, Italy. The Ostia Excavations are 100 meters from the hotel and the River Tiber is less than two kilometers away. Positioned on the Italian coutryside, the Rodrigo de Vivar is 24 kilometers from central Rome.
The on-site restaurant serves traditional regional cuisine, such as Spaghetti alla Sorrentina, spring lamb and pizza varieties. The front desk provides a selection of movies, newspapers and a periodical library. Recreational amenities include horseback riding, archery and painting. Historical and wildlife lessons are lectured on select days about the Roman countryside.
The Rodrigo de Vivar's 14 guestrooms are either located in the traditional medieval building, or in separate buildings set in the 400 acre estate. All feature antique furniture, Murano chandeliers and original Persian rugs. Rooms include televisions and VCRs. Minibars are also included.
