Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 29Great for frugal travelers
Hotel was nice and staff was friendly, and room was clean. The neighborhood was a little shady, but overall a great value. I will stay there again soon.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 29Old and in need of help
This is an older property that has not been well maintained. The WiFI did not work ever and the breakfast area is too small for more then 6 people. There are much better options out there. Also the price advertised on the sign outside the hotel was less than the Hotels.com price not cool. The bed was hard and the sheets were rough, the bathroom had missing tile and the Wifi never worked even though I asked.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 29They were sooooo helpful!!!
I would DEFINITELY come back to this hotel! They were very friendly, the service was great, they helped us find places we were looking for, and even pointed out a GREAT bar right down the street. The room was clean and the location is great. I dont know what else to say...next time we go to San Antonio, we're staying there again!

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 29You get what you pay for
You get what you pay for. For the price its what I expected. I did hear the train once but it wasn't bothersome. They only had two electrical outlets, one in the bathroom and one with everything pluged into it. (the tv, microwave, coffee maker, frig.,and lamp) Upon trying to change around the plugs to plug in my charger the socket overloaded and everything went out. They did come and fix it.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 7 of 29out of the way, but very comfortable and affordable
i stayed in this hotel while in san antonio for my boyfriend's Basic Training graduation. it was about a 30 minute drive to get to the Base every day, so that was kindof a drag, but the hotel was VERY afforable and much more comfortable than the closer hotel rooms of some of the other family members. there WAS a train that went by next to the hotel, but otherwise the room was comfortable, the bathroom very nice, and the service excellent.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 29Great hotel, just didn't expect to ask for room to be cleaned.
It is a good hotel. We liked the space in the rooms. I was disappointed that they never went in to the room to get it cleaned. I asked the front dest, and they said unless you specificaly ask for your room to be cleaned. They will not clean it. So if you stay here remember to ask for your room to be cleaned.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 29On the Tracks
This hotel is on the railroad tracks near a crossing. The trains horn blow with every train...all through the night. Even though there were other rooms vacant on the other side they would not allow a move.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 12 of 29Needs lot to improve. Pretty noisy location
This is really a bad location. There is a rail track right behind this motel. The goods train passes by every half our making it difficult to sleep due to the very loud whistle noise. Also, lot of the room doors of this motel are in bad shape; it will get stuck and you'll have to literally push it hard enough to open the door. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this motel to anyone.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 29An Excellent Hotel
I stayed one day there. It was a good location to have a trip to Alamo. We got into the hotel first, and went to San Antonio. It tokk just 15 minutes. The hotel was good to find out and silent place. The staff workers were so kind.

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 29Still needs some more remodeling
It was very strange, when walking on one side of the hotel it seemed on the lower end, but walking on the side next to the pool made you think you were at a much nicer hotel. The rooms on the pool side seemed much nicer from what I could see in the windows. We were not in one of the pool side rooms and while it was not horrific it was also not what I would call fully remodeled. The first room had a fridge that was not working, but I can hardly blame the hotel the way people tend to tear things up, but what did bother me was that there was a half used bottle of shampoo in the bathroom and the room overall did not smell clean, stinky dirty, but moldy stale. The door at the very end of the hallway did not open from the outside, but I think that was on purpose to keep anyone that may have been up to no good out. The side door had a broken key entry slider, but here did appear to be security cameras in the hallway and there were signs posted that a security firm was on duty. I was totally irritated when the key to the first room did not work and then having to turn around and hike back up to the front desk because of the fridge not working in the first room. The rooms were “guy” clean and passable if you made yourself not look for the dirty, ladies, you know what I am talking about. The second room was better and there did appear to be new bedspreads in both rooms. The hotel has been re-carpeted and the pool does look beautiful, but it was too cold to take a swim; they really did do the pool well! On the other hand the lobby smelled like my grandmother’s house and it was maybe large enough to fit 2 tables and 6 chairs. The couch had a cover on it which is never a good sign and I am not sure if they were only expecting anorexics to eat breakfast, but there was so little I felt like I should had a permission slip to dare take anything. If hard pressed I would stay there again and I may swing by to see if they have continued trying to improve things and if they have I would
