Front Desk Personnel has NO people skills....very rude at check-in

The check-in staff was rude and did not give appropriate room as was requested on reservation...then appeared to be rude when asked for a roon with king size bed instead of two doubles. Also they asked for in-print of credit card although room was paid for at reservation time. They look to double charge you for room, do not give them your credit card if room is paid for. The only good thing to say is that it is convient to airport, and does have a nice pool area, room would be rated to a Super-8, or Days Inn type of room.

Only decent hotel near the airport...

Perfect location - price a little higher than you'd expect for the quality of the facilities...

Creo que el Wi-fi en el cuarto deberia ser algo que podrian oferecer en mi caso en particular me quede por negocios y es muy importante tener el internet para contactar los contactos.

Needs improvement

Definately as close to the airport as you can get but is way outdated. Service at restaurant was poor and so was the food. Nice pool area.

Got a room in second floor at the end of a very long corridor. No elevator. Curtains were old.

Good hotel

I expected a horrible hotel after reading other reviews. The place was good, the staff friendly and I definitely would stay there again and recommend it to others.

Closest to Airport

If you're staying close to the Tocumen Airport, then this seems to be the only place. Airport shuttle arrived promptly. The hotel seems to have had its heyday in the 70's and hardly anything has changed since then, so we have a well-worn Travelodge-type accommodation here. Food in the hotel restaurant is mediocre to poor, but the grounds are immaculate, and there is a nice collection of coconut palms. I would stay here if you have an early morning flight at Tocumen and want to be close by, otherwise, it would probably be worth travelling into Panama City.

Very Nice Hotel

I found the staff courteous and halpful. Check in and out was a breeze. The room was clean and comfortable and access to the beautiful swimming pool was easy.The restaurant served good food. I would reccomend it highly especillay for the price paid

Great room and amenities for the price. Would have expected to pay at least twice the amount of $117USD after seeing the hotel. Beautiful pool and great service. Less than five minutes from the Tocumen International Airport by free hotel shuttle. Highly recommended as an extended lay-over stay.

Staff and Restaurant

I had stayed at the Riande last year and the staff was fabulous! I had read the reviews prior to booking a room this year and they were not favorable; however, I thought they must be incorrect. Unfortunately the head woman at the desk was not friendly or helpful and I had a very poor experience. This year we ate at the hotel restaurnat twice. It was the worst food we had eaten in Panama both times, and that is saying a lot since we were there for 4 and a half months! During that time even the meals we had only paid $2.20 for a meal for two were far superior to the meals we had at the Riande and they were expensive even by American standards. The location to the airport is great, but if you are expecting anything better than a ran down Economy Hotel you will be disappointed.
