I'd Come Back Again

The ice water with lemon in the lobby was a great touch, which was greatly appreciated after a long day of meetings.

Great hotel, bad location

We loved the hotel, and the great staff that they had. The only thing we didn't like was how far away it was from any restraunts!

Snooty staff

Lovely facilties, great tourist location, clean and comfortable rooms, great hot breakfast, and helpful concierge service. But the desk staff has a univerally snooty attitude. They seemed to resent any questions or request. Washington prices notwithstanding, the room was a bit high-priced, even at discount.

Excellent stay!

Very nice hotel, rooms were great! All staff were very professional and helpful. Very good complimentary breakfast. Great location for walking to many visitor sites. Close to Metro stop. Only downfall is very few restaurants nearby. Need to taxi or metro to restaurants. Very helpful concierge service for finding restaurants, transportation, etc. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

A quiet place!

Nice location to see the sites in D.C. The suite was quite comfortable. Good exercise equipment and helpful staff.

noisy

Across the hall there was a room with 10+ noisy kids (all night long), made it very difficult to sleep, front desk was unable to keep them quiet.

Beautiful Room

What I liked about the room was that there was plenty of space to move around. Nice size bathroom area.

Near to Capitol

The location of the hotel is great--very near the Capitol and the Metro. The room size is also very generous and hotel staff is helpful.

Not a "horrible" hotel

Overall, the hotel itself was pretty nice. It was clean, modern, and well run. The only real issues I found were that the beds were very uncomfortable, and the parking in the area was very limited meter parking. The hotel did have a garage available, but the cost was much more than the average going rate for other garages in the area. The area the hotel was in was rather isolated from the rest of the city....very few restaurants or points of interest besides the monuments and mueseums, which were about 4-5 blocks away. Probably best suited for people who are there on business in the immediate area, or who don't mind taking a cab frequently to get out about the town.
