Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 2 of 10Amazing Experience
I am 53 years old and over the years have stayed at many many hotels. This was easily the best expereince yet. I really tried to think of one aspect that was not perfect and I couldn't. The price was average and for that I recieved an above average experience that included a king size bed which was very comfortable, a large room with a full size refridgerator, dishwasher, microwave and stove. Of course the cubords were also stalked with plates, glasses, bowls, cups etc. The morning buffett was more like a brunch. pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, juices etc. All of the staff were polite and curtious. I would say accomodating but there was no reason for them to be!

Good selections for breakfast. The room was very nice. It took us a while to get to the hotel. The traffic pattern is not simple.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 5 of 10Love Residence Inns
I am a faithful Residence Inn guest. I stay there if at all possible. With five children we like to cook our meals when we travel if at all possible and always have laundry to do so we don't have a mountain of it when we arrive home. This particular location was a bit difficult to get to because of construction going on, but I'm sure when that's done it will be great. There's a Target and several nice restaurants within a mile of the hotel and we were evacuating for hurricane Ike and the staff was very accommodating to extend our stay when we decided to wait one more day before returning home. There was a mixup with our pet deposit, but they quickly rectified it and it was as enjoyable a stay as can be had during a stressful time.

I was extremely pleased with my stay at this hotel. The rooms are very spacious and very clean. I would definitely stay here again and feel I got great value for the price per night.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 7 of 10Needs Improvement
We stayed at this hotel for a total of 8 nights, 3 of which were booked through Hotels.com. Overall, we loved the rooms. They were very spacious and comforting. That being said, this hotel could use improvement. During our stay our room was only cleaned 2 times leaving us having to constantly call the front desk for items such as toilet paper, paper towels, dish washing detergent, shampoo, towels, etc.- all of which were supplied by the hotel. On one occasion, I confronted the cleaning lady in the hall and ask her if she would please clean our room because it hadn't been cleaned in 2 days. She couldn't understand me as she could not speak English so she called someone from a cell phone for me to speak with that was to translate what I was saying to her. She said "Ok" but I could tell she still didn't understand what was being requested. A few minutes later she arrived and my door with a stack of towels and said "ok?". I tried to motion my hands and tell her to clean the room but she didn't understand. I then called the front desk, explained what was going on, and they assured me someone would come clean the room. No one ever showed up. I called around 5 pm to ask again and was told house cleaning had already gone home for the day. This particular hotel also offers "Social Hour" on Monday through Thursday which we were told started at 5:30pm. We arrived at 5:20 and there was already a line forming. By the time we got to the serving area, all of the food was gone. We then had to remain in the line for around 10 more minutes waiting for them to bring out more food. This was the situation daily. In my opinion, this "Social hour" should be done away with if they can't organize it better. There were rarely towels out by the pool. We had to call and request those also. These things became such a problem that I programmed the number to the front desk so that I could reach them anywhere from within the hotel. Running to the front desk several times a day became a problem. In

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 8 of 10Outstanding Hotel!!
This was my first stay at a Residence Inn. I loved the full size kitchen since we had to evacuate for a hurricane. It saved us a ton of money to be able to cook a meal in our room. Service was awesome and room was large and comfortable. It felt like an apartment instead of a hotel room.

I have stayed in a few different hotels and this one was by far the best. The entire staff is very friendly and will help with anything you need. If I was to go back to Temple, I would stay in at the Residence Inn Marriott again. Plus it was very affordable.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 10Ideal home away from home
Got exactly what I was loking for with a vacationing family in town for three days helping to host a bridal shower. Room was a bargain compared to other hotels in the same chain. Suite with a full kitchen (full size refrigerator, sink, 2 burner stove, microwave, cabinets stocked with dishes, granite countertops, two seat island bar), couch that folded into a large bed, internet hookup for my laptop (they provided the wire - but the whole building's connection went down for about 4 hours one afternoon), and a plush king size bed with very cushy pillows. All very clean - the place seemed quite new. Continental "plus" breakfast in the lobby every morning(I made my own Texas shaped waffles with blueberries and whipped cream) with eggs, sausage and hash browns, plus the usual juice, cereal, etc. Between the free breakfast and the in room kitchen, I only ate out once in three and a half days in Temple, making the room decidedly worth the added expense. Heated pool and spa - was able to lounge around them with guests for the better part of an afternoon. My daughter loved the "sport court" for basketball and tennis (a mini - size tennis court, no good for a serious game, but using their deflated balls, perfect for me and my 9 year old). About the only downside was the construction on the access roads approaching the hotel, making it hard to find and get to the place.
