    Hotel was very clean, staff was helpful and polite (which I found is not a given in Israel), bed was very comfy, and it's right on the beach. Only major drawbacks were not having an outdoor pool, and it was hard to get chairs/umbrellas for the beach (there were not specifically for the hotel, so you were competing with all of Tel Aviv for the few public ones). I can tell you though, I also stayed at the Dan Hotel down the street earlier in the week, and I would choose Renaissance hands down. Bigger, cleaner rooms, way nicer staff, much better overall experience. At the Dan, I had to haggle with the manager and wait 2 hours to get the oceanfront room I paid extra for.

    The hotel staff personnel was not friendly at all. No smile, no help on directions or information requests. Also the breakfast was very big in terms of quantity of food, but not so good in terms of quality of the meal and products

Location. The Renaissance Tel Aviv is located in Tel Aviv-yafo, Israel, adjacent to the Tel Aviv beach promenade and 100 metres from the marina. The shops and cafes of Dizengoff Street are 500 metres from the hotel and the Performing Arts Centre is three kilometres away. There is also a Safari Park six kilometres away.

Hotel Features. This hotel has an indoor swimming pool and a hot tub with complimentary towels. There is a health club with a sauna and fitness equipment. The wellness centre has a massage room and guests can use the sunloungers on the sun deck which overlooks the beach. The multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can offer tour assistance and parking is available nearby at a surcharge.

Renaissance Tel Aviv hosts the Sabres Brasserie which serves Mediterranean dishes and has separate vegetarian and children's menus. Salads, sandwiches, snacks and drinks are available from the Jaffa Terrace, a coffee shop. Room service is available 24 hours a day.

The hotel has meeting and conference rooms with audio-visual equipment and wireless Internet access is available at a surcharge.

Guestrooms. The 342 guestrooms are all decorated in a modern style and have air conditioning and balconies. They all have wireless Internet access at a surcharge and televisions with satellite channels and pay movies. The hotel provides a complimentary newspaper daily and there are also direct-dial phones, safes, and minibars. The private bathrooms include hair dryers and complimentary toiletries.

The hotel will be renovating from 15 November 2009 to 26 March 2010. The following areas are affected:
