Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 74Where are the flat panels?
TV's need to be updated to flat panels. Other than that, the room was fine and the front desk was very friendly.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 74Great Stay for Visit to Philly
Hotel is located right next to airport, yet we didn't notice any jet noise or typical airport sounds. It is a 10 minute drive to all sports arenas in Philly. It's 15 minutes to downtown historic district. We loved the hotel's heated pool and hot tub, and the overall quietness around the hotel. We felt like we had the place to ourselves and it was the weekend of the World Series! There was no charge for parking which is a huge plus since many downtown hotels charge $30+ to park. Consider that savings when you book or choose where to stay. On the downside, there was only a couple of places to eat around the hotel. There was a McDonalds, Arby's, and Ruby Tuesday's nearby. The hotel restaurant was very nice, but typical hotel faire and premium price to match. (Ruby Tuesday's is 2 miles away and a much better deal.) We are already planning our next trip and will definitely stay here!

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 74Middle of the Road
Room was OK...not perfect. Definitely stuffy but not quite musty at first entry. Room was missing an ice bucket and the between the beds night stand had old water marks from glasses. Tried to reach housekeeping got some guy on the phone who was not helpful and ended up reaching the front desk that took care of the ice bucket problem. The strangest thing was the height of the bathroom sink it was extremely low which made it difficult to use. Except for the one guy on the phone the rest of the staff was very nice. Restaurant had good food.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 74LOVED, LOVED, LOVED!!!!!
MY FAMILY AND I WENT ON VACATION IN OCT 2009. I SEARCHED AND SEARCHED FOR THE "RIGHT" HOTEL, I AM SO GLAD I FOUND THIS ONE. I READ REVIEW AFTER REVIEW AND FINALLY DECIDED TO TAKE A CHANCE ON THIS. THIS HOTEL WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY. THE STAFF WAS WONDERFUL AND THE ROOMS WERE VERY CLEAN AND SMELLED GREAT. THE VIEW WAS AWESOME OF THE AIRPORT AND YOU COULD SEE THE AIRPLANES TAKING OFF AND COMING IN BUT YOU COULDN'T HEAR THEM. THE ONLY DISLIKE I HAVE ABOUT THIS HOTEL IS THAT THE FOOD WAS NOT THAT GREAT. WE ORDERED ROOM SERVICE ALMOST A HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR ONE MEAL FOR MYSELF, MY HUSBAND, AND OUR FOUR CHILDREN. IT WAS A MESS AND NOT WORTH THE MONEY. SAVE THAT MONEY AND GO UP THE STREET TO DENNY'S. OTHER THEN THAT THIS HOTEL WAS GREAT AND WE PLAN ON STAYING THERE AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Rooms were spacious and clean. White bedding is always a plus. It looked like the hotel has been freshly decorated, very nice. Highly recommend!

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 10 of 74Take it or leave it
I stayed at the Renaissance Philadelphia Airport Hotel on Sat 8/8/09. I chose this hotel because it was close to the the airport and I had an early flight the next morning. When I checked in the staff was very friendly and exceeded my expectations. I noticed a bunch of loud mouth half dressed kids in the lobby. At first, I just ignored them then I made reference about them to the staff, they said it was their weekend guests and they will be leaving soon (whatever). I went to my room to place my bags so I could have dinner. I liked my room, it was very neat, clean and comfortable. As I stood at the elevators on my floor to go to dinner, I ran into those loud mouth kids again. They were running around, screaming and swearing. I should of said something to them but I didn't. I walked over to the restaurant and had dinner, I had a caesar salad and tuna tartare, pretty tasty and nicely priced. The staff at the restaurant were pretty friendly. After dinner, I walked around the hotel, checked out the fitness center and pool. They were pretty nice but warning, the pool is the breading grounds for loud mouth kids and teenagers!!!! I was so tired of those kids, I decided to head back to my room. As I stood at the elevator, those loud kids/teens were dripping wet in their swimsuits, stood right behind me screaming, a few of them were drunk. When I reached my room, I called security to report those kids because I saw their room number. Five minutes later it was quiet, so I went to get ice. At the ice machine, security walked passed and told me a guest reported me and my friends for being loud and drunk. I told them, I reported the group and I am not a loud mouth teen, oh the irony! I fell asleep right after and woke up to screaming and loud footsteps. I went to the front desk and had my room changed, no further problems after that. Its funny, I read the reviews for this hotel and thought, oh maybe it was just an isolated experience, guess not.

In hotel restaurant needs to improve food presentation and food quality (favor / ingredients). Banquet food was dismal.

There are much better and cheaper hotels around the Philadelphia airport. Room and bathroom were dirty and uncomfortable and outdated.

Trip Type: Family Review 14 of 74Emergency Alarm and Noise level
Rooms surrounding pool area and surrounding the 3rd floor atrium should be avoided, they are very noisy until late in the evening. We also experienced an emergency drill at 5:30 am, had to evacuate the hotel, not one hotel staff communicated what was going on during and/or after the event.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 15 of 74It could have been worse
The outside made a bad impression. The should pay more attention to keeping the front entrance area clean. The hotel was hard to find. The staff was not helpful with directions. As a matter of fact, they were rude. They rattled off directions and didn't want to repeat them when I asked. We got lost and phoned to get directions from where we were and she transfered me to the automated direction line. Thank God for my iPhone and our GPS system or we could still be circling Philly. The fire alarm went off at 0600am and we all had to evacuate the building. After standing outside for a while, they allowed us to return to our rooms. I don't know if there was ever a fire. No appologies or compensation. The hotel was not bad for the price, but the service sucks. It could have been worse.
