Perfect location for using the Metro!!

It is so so convenient for using the Metro! It's at the end of the same block!

Mayflower

The Mayflower is in surprisingly good condition given the age of the hotel. Clean, well furnished, room of satisfactory size, and nice location.

Great Location, Good Value

Conveniently located near Metro stations and within walking distance to major DC sights. Hotel is large, and seems to be a major convention location, but service was still very good.

Outstanding Hotel

A lovely Grande Dame hotel thoughtfully updated but keeping its traditional roots. Great location. Lovely room. Handy breakfast bar in lobby with prices comparable to starbucks so can grab and go. We got a great price through hotels.com

The staff was terrible

The staff was unresponsive and unsympathetic to my need of adjoining rooms despite my reservation and confirmation in advance. Bad staff, bad hotel.

Classy Gem

Everything about the hotel was terrific. The staff was especially helpful, ALL of the staff. However, upon arrival, I was disapointed to find one king bed when 2 doubles were requested. There were 3 of us in the room! I had reserved a rollaway just incase, and sadly that was not there either. We waited several hours, getting close to bedtime, for the rollaway to come. Even though these were two major problems, they were recified, and I would still reccommend this hotel for staying in D.C. The Metro is on the same block!

Beautiful hotel

Great location with impressive lobby and room/bath. Staff members were helpful and courteous. We didn't try the restaurant, but prices looked comparable with surrounding restaurants. Subway entrance is close and subway is easily navigated. Be sure to go to the zoo.

Great location. However, the rooms are very small (read -- micro). Good location, clean and a very reputable place.

Best hotel in DC

The Mayflower is the only place to stay in DC if you're looking for top-flight service, a good night's sleep, delicious food, interesting guests, and a location within walking distance of many offices and attractions. All good.
