You get what you pay for

If you want a low cost place to sleep, this meets your needs. There is nothing to do within walking distance. Hotel amenities are minimal. Even though this was one of the lowest prices available, I would have liked to have had a few more amenities. I will budget to pay more in the future if necessary.

walking distance to just about anything you need.

Just right

Needed hotel close to U of Pitt campus yet far enough away to save some money and this hotel met my requirements and more. Easy to get in and out of, directions to campus provide without asking for them. Staff was very polite and let me know they were there should I need anything from them.

Dirty Room

Upon entering the room, we were overcome by the smell of cigarette smoke. During the booking of the room, I was never given the option of choosing a non-smoking room, which led me to believe the entire hotel was non-smoking. Not the case as the entire room smelled horrible. The room was visibly dirty. Most notably was the plastic bottle cap stuck to a chair and assorted stains in the bathroom. The only saving grace for the hotel was its location. It is located right off the PA turnpike. Overall it would have been worth a little more money to stay elsewhere.

Acceptable

If you just need a place to sleep while in transit or on business, this hotel is a good place. Very convenient to major highways and places to eat. Also, close to shooping mall.

Good room for the money

This was definitely a budget hotel -- rooms are on the small side, and they open to the outdoors rather than into a hall, and there's no breakfast. That said, the building is quite new and very clean and fresh. The location is far enough away from the road that our room was very, very quiet, which was really nice. The location is convenient to Pittsburgh, but again, the room was very affordable compared to others we considered in the same quality/location range. I'd stay here again anytime.

It is an updated Red Roof Inn

We were traveling late in the evening and wanted a clean hotel next to the turnpike for easy off easy on. This Red Roof met those requirements perfectly. It was clean, and their new radiant heating system is great. It was about 15 degrees outside, so we appreciated this quiet and comfortable heating. The beds were comfortable and the Inn was relatively full, but quiet. 3 minutes after we left, we were on the turnpike. Overaall, a very good experience.

A Detail Was Overlooked

For whatever reason, my room key didn't work on the 2nd day ofmy 2-night stay. They corrected it at the office, but it was an unnecessary inconvenience.
