Employees were helpful. We had a small problem and when we reported it we were given a free breakfast for two and a sincere apology for any inconvenience.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the balcony and room decor. Booked primarily for the jacuzzi and indoor swimming pool, which turned out to be under renovation. Mattress on one of the beds very uncomfortable. The other was fine. Menu was very limited. Disappointing for the amount of money spent.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 133Great Location but better hotels nearby!
I have stayed in Spokane on numerous occasions and for the price I have had better service and amenities. You can't beat the walking access to downtown, but the pools and hot tub were a let down from the pictures. For the price, I felt I needed more than location to get me to come back!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 8 of 133Good Amenities, don't recommend the restaurant.
The service at the front desk, and the room service was great. They recommended nearby restaurants(and they were good), and gave us discount tickets for them. We also loved the pool. The room was your basic hotel room. I was not impressed w/ the comfort of the bed. The on-site restaurant was not that great. We had a family member who was allergic to garlic, she mentioned this many times to the waiter, who told her there was no garlic in the dish. Turns out there was garlic in it.

This is a large hotel, and they do not pay attention to details. Our room was small, bathroom tiny, and there was still used shampoo and conditioner in the shower from the previous guest as well as a towel on the back of the door. The room smelled like a wet dog had been there for the night. The price of this room did not meet my expectations.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 10 of 133Nice Stay
I was only passing through town on a quick overnight stay, but the stay here was comfortable and relaxing - especially the bed. Nice feather pillow pillows and comfortor - very cozy. Just what a weary traveller needed :)

Trip Type: Business Review 11 of 133Nifty on the river
We stayed with these very friendly folks for just one night and loved the location (and the bar) which is right on the riverfront and across from downtown. That said, the other Red Lion down the river seems a little smaller and less commercial and we'll probably try that one even though it butts up to a very busy overpass. Either one would be a great place to stay in Spokane. My tip? Do take breakfast at the hotel in the sunny atrium. The staff there are real Spokanians, great gals.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 133Motel Accommodations at Grand Hotel Prices
We rented two rooms for our visit. Both were *very* small and cramped and faced the busy and noisy parking lot. Though we requested non-smoking rooms (upon check-in we signed an agreement that if we smoked in those rooms we would be charged a hefty fee), both rooms were filled with stale cigarette smoke and the uphostery and bed spreads were peppered with cigarette burns. The windows did not open and we could not air the rooms out. All that along with very noisy hallways and neighbors and an unresponsive front desk made our first hour there after a long drive sufficiently miserable that we checked out and went over to the Davenport Hotel (at a very modest extra few dollars per room per night) where we were lavished with stellar service and top notch accommodations. Through Hotels.com we managed to retrieve half of our room costs from the Red Lion Hotel at the Park. Worth it to get out of there.

When we arrived at 1 am, we were told that our room may not have been cleaned. The janitor was called and he assured us that the room was clean. However, when we went up to the room it had not been cleaned and was quite filthy. It had dirty dishes, pizza boxes, and the beds were not made. We were then told that we had the last room and that it had to be cleaned right then by the janitor. After waiting about 45 minutes, we went back to our room; it *appeared* clean but a more thorough inspection revealed that the towels had not been replaced, they were simply refolded and put back. Since this was the last available room and we were very tired, we decided to deal with it. After complaining about all of this, we were given coupons for free breakfast for every day of our stay, for our party of four. This was worth about $160, so we were content with that. Also, the next day we changed to a different room. The next day, my wife tried to talk to the manager on duty about what had happened and the manager appeared to not care less. My wife did not even get a chance to talk to the manager. The manager appeared quite rude. That same day, we wanted to go swimming, but there were no towels left. My wife went to the counter and told them there were no towels. Instead of saying "thank you, we will fix that", she was told that there *were* towels, we were just looking in the wrong spot. So, my wife came back to double-check and, of course, there were no towels. So my wife went back a second time and was told that the towels would be replaced soon. Well, we waited about 20 minutes for those towels before they were replaced. The only saving grace this hotel has with us is that there were a few excellent staff members that seemed to really care about our stay.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 15 of 133Which way is the pool?
I thought the directions (not much signage) was very inadequate. Its like walking around in a maze. The only thing easy to find was the lobby. Hallways were very bleak and poorly lit. The toilet was dirty.
