Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 118Fantastic Hotel
This hotel has not done a good enough job promoting their newly renovated rooms. The suite my wife and I stayed in was fantastic. The staff were all very friendly and the location was perfect for anyone interested in shopping and entertainment at the Plaza across the street.

We went to KC to celebrate an anniversary and found the Raphael to be a romantic, friendly and clean hotel. Staff were extremely accomodating and helpful and the location was perfect!

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 3 of 118Very nice hotel room.
This service was great, although we did not like how it took until 5p.m. the next day for them to clean our room and that was with us asking. we were also put on the first floor. I would high recommend making sure you are put on a higher floor. Overall we loved everything else about the hotel. Everything was in close walking distance and we walked over for food and shopping.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 118Sweet stay in renovated Suite!
The Raphael is located ideally near Country Club Plaza and an easy drive to many other KC attractions. Complimentary valet parking is included and is quick and convenient. The hotel has been completely renovated (well, the elevator still has the old carpet and wall treatment) and shines. The Chaz, the in-house restaurant is gorgeous and has a great and affordable (for an upscale hotel) breakfast. The staff was very helpful and we felt like we were coming home each time we returned. There was coffee, tea and cookies in the lobby each afternoon and a terrific in-room coffee maker. The only challenge we had during our stay was getting a comfortable temperature during the first night there, but soon we figured out the right combination of thermostat settings and slightly open window and did fine. The linens are great, fluffy towels and high-end restroom amenities. There was no blow dryer in our room, not sure if this is universal. Loved the free wi-fi, USA Today, sitting area in the room and the flat-panel TV. Lindt Truffles left by housekeeping each day were a nice treat. Loved it - fantastic location and great value for a romantic get-away!

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 118Perfect Place to Stay
This hotel was great! The room was very large and the decor was beautiful. The hotel staff was friendly, courteous, and quick to respond to any request. The king size bed was the most comfortable bed I've EVER slept on in a hotel. The LCD TV in the room was also a welcome touch. This hotel is in a GREAT part of town, right next to the Country Club Plaza. There are dozens of places to eat and shop all within walking distance of your room. If you want to stay in Kansas City this is the place to stay.

This is one of the loveliest, most elegant hotels you will find. Beautifully decorated and immaculate.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 118Fabulous hotel
The Raphael is as close to a Ritz-Carlton as you can get, but at a fraction of the cost. I was called by name by the staff my entire stay - how they could remember at such a busy place amazes me. The room was old-world gorgeous - solid walls and floors for quiet, and recent sumptuous decor. Add in the fresh baked cookies placed bedside at the end of the day, and you've got one class act. The fact that it is one block from KC's Country Club Plaza makes it even better. I loved this place!
