Be careful about Dune Views

This is a beautiful hotel with great amenities. The problem is that we were told this was a waterside room with a "dune view" and what we got was an oceanside room on the second floor with a lanai and a view of nothing but a dune! The dune was wider and taller than our whole patio and patio view!!! It was a nice location and once you walked out to the beach it was great.

Needs maintenance

The hotel is in need of major renovations. The room was clean, but the furniture was old. The hotel was conveniently located to the beach. You get what you pay for..........

Great Location

Decent Hotel from the price. Nice access to the beach from the hotel with outdoor showers. Location at the 9.5 mile post is central to everything from KDH to Manteo.

Well I read other reviews before we booked so I knew it needed to be renovated but there was nothing else available. So for the money I guess it was ok, location was good. We had no big expectations so we were not disappointed. It could have had at least a continental breakfast.

Nice room for the money

The staff here was outstanding, I never encountered anyone on staff who did not seem happy to be at work. I had items faxed, used room service etc, and all staff was on top of the game. My room was clean, I enjoy having a balcony as well. I had stayed next door on my last visit to the area and the Ramada Plaza is hands down the winner between the two. and the prices were comparable, just very different in cleanliness.
